Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The chimera looks at Onyx nervously.
"I-I'm sorry... I didn't know this statue was taken!" It utters, vanishing into mist.

 

Onyx seems to calm down a bit, recovering, before realizing she has no way of getting back down.

Onyx lets out meows for help, unable to get back down the statue.

 

I simply nod again.

 

Meowing is a little bit quiet for most, but a winged serpent seems to be coming her way.

 

Onyx seems scared of this too, curling up into a tight ball on the statue's head to hopefully pass herself off as a hat.

 

"Now, try blocking these. Do it wrong, and the dome'll reset."

The serpent sniffs at her.
"What'sss wrong, outsssider? There'sss nothing to be ssscared of here." It says gently.

 

Preparing my sword, I nod once more.

 

Kyle suddenly appears at the top of the dome, diving down with a straight vertical slash.

 

Onyx nervously peeks out at the serpent, shaking.

 

It seems to be looking at her with equal caution.
"Xlentia'sss law ssstatesss that no chimera can harm anyone assside from ssself defenssse. Worry not, outsssider."

 

Onyx hardly seems less scared, but looks down at the ground, then back at the serpent, letting out a fearful mew.

 

I look up, blocking with the blade, and staying prepared.

 

The serpent stretches itself out from the neck of the statue to the ground.
"I would get usssed to the sssight of usss, outsssider."

He warps, this time out of sight.
"What's implied?" Kyle quickly asks.

 

"Couterattack? Be prepared? Just listing off a bit."
I say, looking around for him.

 

Onyx nervously looks at the serpent, before sprinting down it onto the ground, running away again.

Onyx looks for the nearest room she can enter, hoping it's unoccupied.

 

The nearest room is the Stasis Room, unoccupied other than herself and various frozen creatures.

You're hit with the blunt end of his blade from behind.
"If you lose sight, always watch your back."

 

Turning around and getting vision of Kyle, I jump back away from him.
"Noted."

 

"Take two?" He asks.

 

I simply prepare.

 

Same opening, and same disappearance.
