[ A Formula-insider Needed ] What Does Elemental Defense Actually Do? Why Are Formulas Not Public?

What do %-based elemental defense and raw elemental defense do?

This question has been asked dozens of times on the forums. Some say it multiplies your raw defense, some say it just reduces a percentage of the elemental damage you take. Some say it is actually the same as raw defense.

I've never found a clear answer from a staff member. Sorry if there is one, I just could not find it after over 30 minutes of searching.

It's about time. This is an extremely crucial question considering end game builds.
Why are we kept in darkness?

Another question is why does wynncraft not release all formulas for damage, defense, etc?
That would make the game way more convinient; about actually making a clear build and not about trying to figure out what a thing does, is it glitched, does it even do anything because it is glitched, or about finding the tastiest glitch to abuse.
People could actually report things that do not work if they knew how things are supposed to be in the first place.

There are lots of "I think it is..." -answers out there, I'd rather not have more of those. But if you know something about it, please let me know.
I'd really appreciate a clear answer from an insider, a moderator, a coder, or Mr. Jumla himself.

Moderators are just people who enforce the rules, Not some freaking 8balls.
Also @JaydonTheWarrior has figured out what it does after a conversation with Selbutt, I quote:
"Elem def is glitched. Me and selv have been talking about it, as it turns out elem def subs the base value and not as a tottal so weps like alka, are armor pricing and do fuck tons".
Also if you're not looking for anyone's opinion, Why make a public thread? Just PM a Moderator next time if you really think he could answer the question, I doubt a lot of moderators have the answers to this kind of stuff though.

So does this mean if you do enough elemental damage, it goes completely through elemental defense, ignoring it?

It's just because I was looking at all the dozens of threads asking the same that got no answers and I got angry. xd
