Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

A few guards wait outside the throne room, blocking the way in.

 

Alice holds out the folder.
"King asked for my report. Here it is." She says, kneeling.

 

"I suggest you take it to him yourself, Detective. He's in the palace gardens." The guard says sternly.

 

She slaps herself.
"Sorry- gah shit, I never changed, either..." She mutters, heading for home, then the gardens after changing.

 

Alice sees Artemis and I lying under a tree together in the garden, enjoying one another's company.

 

Alice taps the tree with the folder.
"My king? Your report."

 

"Hm? Oh, thanks." I say, taking the folder with my free hand, other hand in Artemis'.

 

Alice heads to the dining hall, hungry and hopeful.

 

The dining hall is open, and it doesn't seem to be too busy, leaving a lot of seats open.

 

Alice sits down, weary.

 

Eventually, a waiter comes over to Alice.

"What can I get you to eat?" The waiter asks with a smile.

 

"Waffles, tea. Raspberry tea, butter and syrup." She utters

 

"Uh, alright! I'll bring you your food when it's ready." The waiter says.

A short while later, a large platful of waffles and a couple of cups of raspberry tea is put in front of Alice.

 

She wearily eats it, leaving a bit less weary.

 

The guard opens the door for Alice, letting her out of the dining hall.

 

She heads home, then just sprawls out on her bed.
"Damn that was fun..."

 

The bed feels soft, so soft Alice feels herself drifting off.

 

She winds up drifting off again, smiling.

 

Minorly impatient, I look around for Kyle.

 

Alice is awoken by a phone call early in the morning.
