Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He gets hooked and thrown to the side, a bolt of darkness coming in fast.

 

"Alright..." The air guardian says tiredly, taking Alice's letter and stamping a red wax seal onto it. The seal resembles a star, and the air guardian hands Alice her letter back.

"You can mail this at that desk over there." The air guardian says, pointing to a desk with a sign saying 'Outgoing Palace Mail'. A small queue seems to be waiting at it.

 

Crystal seems to flash brightly before rolling.

 

"Thank you!" Alice says, moving to the back of the line.

The bolt is weakened, but Crystal ends up rolling straight into a flame spear, burning tip cutting into him painfully easily.

 

The line moves rather quickly, people simply handing over their letters and receipts being handed back after the address is read. Alice soon finds herself at the front of the queue, a smiling Shadow at the desk.

 

Alice hands the shadow the letter, seeming pretty happy.

 

Crystal is visibly hurt from the pain but doesn't make a noise. He gets up, attempting to take the flame spear with him.

 

"Mmhmm, alright! I'll get this sent!" The Shadow says, printing out a receipt for Alice, "Here's your receipt Miss! Have a good day!"

Alice is slid a receipt, detailing the mail she sent and at what time, as well as a small emblem with the words "Valid Mail Receipt" under it.

 

Alice takes the receipt. "Thanks! You too!" She responds, heading back home.

It's a bit hard to wield an earth spear and a flame spear at the same time...

 

Let me specify.
Crystal attempts to take the flame spear with his left hand, adding it to his back.

 

Alice has no trouble getting back home, her house as quiet as she left it.

 

This still hinders movement, but it's not difficult.

She spends the rest of the day finishing her papers, wiped as she falls asleep, albeit a little earlier than usual.

...She doesn't pick up when the check-up call goes out.

 

The check-up call rings again an hour later.

 

Crystal faces Nilarq again, this time visibly fatigued. He didn't bother to fix the hole in his side.

 

"Almost made it to three." He says flatly, frost spear in hand.

Alice sleeps through that one, too.

 

Around ten minutes later, there's a knock on Alice's door.

 

Crystal just smiles, advancing with the earth spear still equipped.

 

She doesn't answer that, either.

Nilarq sprays Crystal with ice shards, just messing with him at this point.

 

Alice's doors are opened.

"Miss Alice, are you alright?" A guard calls around her house, checking the downstairs rooms before looking upstairs.

 

She sleeps through everything.
The guard finds her sleeping harder than a rock in the bedroom.
