Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"We did beat her up pretty badly." Abigail says, smirking.

"Yeah, Aqui really helped me out though. I don't think I could've done what we did together on my own." Katie says happily, enjoying her food.

 

Alice opts to keep quiet while finishing her meal.

 

Abigail and Katie finish their meals shortly after Alice does, a group of waiters and waitresses coming to take their plates and glasses away.

"So...Alice, you want to hang with us for a bit?" Abigail asks.

 

"Um... I... I guess? I don't really have anything else to do today." She says, a bit confused at the sudden invitation.

 

"Cool! Katie and I were going to do a bit of skateboarding. I think they provide skateboards if you don't have one." Abigail says happily, getting up alongside Katie.

 

"Eeh... I dunno. I'm not good at that stuff." Alice says nervously.

 

"I could teach you how to, if you wanted." Katie says happily.

 

"I dunno... everyone makes fun of me because I don't have great reflexes. I dunno if you want a slow learner dragging you down." Alice sighs.

 

"I'm patient!" Katie says, smiling.

"Yeah, Katie's probably the best person to teach you out of a lot of people." Abigail says, laughing slightly.

 

"I guess I'll try then. I just... um... kinda get escorted by guards."

 

"Why's that?" Katie asks, starting to head to the exit of the dining hall with Abigail.

 

"Because there are about twelve gangs that want me dead." Alice sighs, nervous.

 

"Wow. No wonder then." Abigail comments, surprised.

"Well, I'm sure you'll be safe in the palace. It's very well guarded." Katie says happily, exiting the dining hall alongside Abigail.

 

"Yeah... if the place isn't nearby, I probably can't go."

 

"Don't sweat it, it's in the palace." Abigail says, heading into an elevator.

"We're sort of esteemed guests of the king and kingdom, so we can basically go anywhere we want in the palace." Katie says happily, chuckling.

"Uuuh...what was the code again..." Abigail says to herself, thinking.

 

"Isn't there a book in here that has the codes? If not, there should be." Alice says, following the pair.

 

"Oh, right." Abigail says, turning around and opening the cabinet in the elevator, flipping through the pages.

"Ah ha! Skate park code." Abigail says, turning back around and inputting the code. The trio are transported to a large room filled with ramps, half pipes, rails and other skateboarding areas, parts of it even leading outside. A small shack lies off to the right, 'Skateboardz' on a sign above it, which Abigail and Katie head toward.

 

Alice nervously follows.

 

A Shadow smiles behind the counter at the trio.

"Hey guys! Brought a extra with you this time?" The Shadow says happily.

"Yeah, this is Alice. Can she borrow a starter board?" Abigail asks, taking off her gauntlet.

"Sure thing, it's just fifty gold." The Shadow says happily. Abigail puts her finger on a sharp looking spike on the counter, and the Shadow starts working on the computer. Katie soon follows, and the Shadow heads into the back room of the shack, returning with a flame-patterned red and droplet-patterned blue skateboard.

"Here are your skateboards." The Shadow says, smiling. Abigail and Katie take their boards, Abigail handing over fifty gold coins as she does. The Shadow turns around, taking a balanced looking board off one of the racks.

"This is for you, Alice." The Shadow says with a smile, offering the skateboard to Alice.

 

"Yes, that would be good." I say.
