Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The earth guardians work together on piecing Alpha back together, their work assisted by their telekinesis.

 

As Alpha is finished, Sophie begins an incantation before Alpha starts to move on its own.
Alpha proceeds to do seemingly random motions before stopping.
"Looks good to me. Thanks a bunch!"

 

"Is everything with the machine functioning properly?" An earth guardian asks.

 

"Puppet." Sophie groans."Yes, he's working just fine, thank you."

 

"Shall we take our leave, then? Or is there something else you needed help with?" The first earth guardian asks kindly.

 

"Feel free to leave. Everything else is just rethreading on my end."

 

"Very well. I hope everything goes well!" The earth guardian says, pulling out a dark crystal from her pocket and smashing it, a portal to the Realm of Shadows opening up which the group heads through.

 

He bows, and I cringe, waiting.

 

"Thanks again!" Sophie calls through the portal, cloaking.

"Not bad. Now, every advantage is a disadvantage - try tearing my gauntlet off.

 

"Bye!" The earth guardian calls as the portal closes.

 

Crystal takes a second to encase his spear in his back, before wrapping his hands around the gauntlet, encasing it, like what he did with the spear. Then Crystal pulls on it, trying to tear it off.

Alice approaches the palace gates, a folder hastily stuffed with papers in hand.
"Sir, ma'am... I... I'm deeply sorry for coming to the palace without an invite, but I have been taking notes on what I hear near my house, a-and... um... the gang activity is... well... I brought my notes, thinking they may be of interest..." She pants.

Nothing doing, except annoying Nilarq.
"With the spear, I meant." He groans.

 

"Oh."
He says, detaching.
"Uh, sorry."
Crystal takes the spear from his back, and tries using the hilt-like end of his spear to dig under a hook in the gauntlet, yanking it back.

 

Nilarq sighs.
"Have to use the sharp end. That has a hook. The blunt end can't hook on to my armor. Remember; if you try this, you're risking getting disarmed for the chance to control your opponent's movements."

 

The guards talk amongst themselves for a bit, discussing whether or not they should let Alice in.

"Very well," The first guard says, "Take them to the king."

The guard opens the gates for Alice.

After finishing up my notes, I decide to ask the nearest Draconian for a map.

 

Crystal backs up, visibly annoyed, but then advances trying again with the sharp end, cautious of Nilarq.

 

Alice bows, trying to catch her breath before she moves on to the palace.

The nearest draconian seems to be outside Xlentia's chambers.
"There are only maps on the walls, but here." They say, offering you a ring. "These allow much quicker travel around the palace."

The spear seems to have a firm grasp on the gauntlet.
"Good. Now, you're looking to throw me to the ground or rip my armor off. Try either." He offers, grit teeth.

 

Crystal takes a few seconds to think about it before attempting to force his armor off.

 

The guards at the doors to the palace open them for her, and a few people, some Shadows, others Guardians or other beings, seem to be waiting outside the throne room with the guards.

"-and I said, you couldn't even afford it! Hahaha." A rich looking Shadow says to his partner as they walk by Alice.
