Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

A large bed with various machines around it reside in the room, and the surgeons and nurses follow Sophie in.

"Please lie down on the bed." A nurse says with a smile once Sophie's removed her armour.

 

Sophie does as told.

 

The surgeons and nurses stand at either side of the bed, and another nurse pulls a mask with a canister near, putting the mask over Sophie's mouth. Sophie immediately begins to feel sleepier.

"Could you count to ten for us, Sophie?" A surgeon asks, preparing a few tools.

 

Aimless mumbles are all the nurse hears.

 

Sophie soon finds herself passed out.

Once Sophie's unconscious, the surgeons begin to operate, cutting her open and beginning to replace her organs with new ones.

 

Despite this, her organs are perfectly fine...

 

The surgeons replace the organs anyway, with newer, damage-free ones.


Sophie wakes up in a white hospital room, light pouring in from a window, and a small bowl of porridge beside her on a bedside table.

 

The surgeons also find some wiring and strings inside of her, her bones artificial.

She seems too tired to do much other than groan.

 

The surgeons replace her bones, too, with natural bones, removing the wiring and strings.


A doctor walks into Sophie's room.

"Ah, you're awake. How are you feeling?" The doctor asks.

 

She looks blankly at the nurse.

 

"Hello?" The doctor asks, waving his hand in front of Sophie's face.

 

Sophie doesn't even respond.

 

The doctor sighs, checking Sophie's pulse and blood pressure.

 

Pulse and blood pressure seem fine.
She's just... not responding to any stimuli.

 

"Hm, you seem perfectly fine, well enough to leave. I'll have someone bring you your armour, you're free to leave after that." The doctor says, leaving.

A short while later, a nurse brings Sophie her armour.

"Here's your armour, Sophie. I hope the operation wasn't to scary for you." The nurse says, smiling at Sophie as she offers the armour.

 

She doesn't budge, or even blink.

 

"Oh, sorry. I'll just leave these here, then." The nurse says, leaving Sophie's armour beside her on the bed, before exiting the room.

 

After almost an hour, Sophie still hasn't moved an inch.

 

After a few hours, doctors call me in.

"Sophie people need to use this room. We don't have an endless supply of them, stop lazing about and let's get going." I say bluntly.

 

She still doesn't respond, staring blankly forward as she had been.
