Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Elyra blinks in confusion as he goes. "Is a serial killer someone who kills cereal?" she wonders, probably just staring at the ceiling asking stupid questions until he comes back.

 

"You mean Ruby? Yeah, when she wasn't such a bitch." I say, teleporting the three of us to the elevator outside the dining hall. I appear next to Sapphire, darkness left within her operating half as well as I was, but still fairly effective.

"She tried to seduce Aj and steal him from Artemis..." Stephanie says hollowly, a lack of care in her voice.

"Good morning, your majesty. It's good to see you're feeling better." The guard at the door to the dining hall says as I approach, bowing respectfully as she opens it.

 

Crystal seems to not quite be strong enough to disarm Nilarq, but he does manage to create the aforementioned opening and land a small jab.

"Second, upon landing a hit, fall back. Against a spear, foes want to be too far to hit or too close for you to actually do anything effective."

The medicine almost wears off, leaving you sore before he comes back with some kind of herbal powder and a bleeding cut on the side of his face.
"Sorry, girl. Found a little trouble on the way back. Nothing else disturbed you, I hope?"

Sophie seems a bit downtrodden, seeming to be dragged along by your will to eat.
"I... uh... d-didn't know she caused you s-so much pain... but... s-sister's d-dead." She mutters, trying to keep herself together.

 

Crystal backs up, but the goes a bit more forward due to the fact that he backed up a bit too far.

 

"Try it a few more times, from a few different angles." Nilarq states, somewhat patient.

 

"Oh...jeez, I didn't know. Sorry." I apologize, heading into the dining hall and walking over to the others, sitting down with them on one of the large tables.

Aeris lies face down on a plate of spaghetti, unconscious, her silver hair turning a reddish-orange as it's stained by the sauce. Tirra seems barely able to feed herself, her head resting on one of her hands as she slowly eats her way through a plateful of salad and meats. Abigail and Ignia seem hardly able to stay awake, occasionally drifting off before jolting awake again, Abigail accidentally dropping her fork onto the floor with a clang. Katie seems rather shaken by the events, occasionally eating some of her fish but giving the various Shadows in the dining hall a nervous glance, looking away whenever one glances at her. Aqui doesn't seem to happy, an incredibly annoyed expression on her face as she weakly attempts to eat her soup, often spilling it over herself or splashing it into the bowl. Artemis rests on Myria in an embrace, occasionally drifting off for short periods of time before Myria beckons her awake to feed her another vegetable, seeming more concerned about Artemis than herself.

 

Crystal tries, attempting to throw off Nilarq's spear each time. Once he tries for Nilarq's dominate arm, then his neck, then his right knee.

 

Sophie fees a bit sick watching.
"A-at least you aren't c-celebrating her end in front of me..." She chokes.

The dominant arm seems to be his left, and there's something on his armor there that hooks the tip of Crystal's spear and rips it out of his hands as he pulls back.
"Check your foe's armor. Your spear can be used equally against you as it can be used for you."

 

"Wuh?" Abigail asks sleepily, taking a lazy sip of what appears to be a very sugary drink.

"What can I get you, your highness?" A waiter asks, bowing as he walks over.

"I think I'll have two rare steaks, a side of salad and fries, and a couple of pieces of toast," I say, "Oh, and also an energy drink."

"Very good, your highness. Will that be all?" The waiter asks.

"Yeah, that should be enough to keep me going." I say casually.

"And what would you like, esteemed guest?" The waiter asks, turning to Sophie.

 

"I ate more than I could handle last night... I'm still fine, t-thank you..." She says, trying to keep her mind off the condition of the others.

 

Crystal takes a second to look at Nilarq's armor, for practice.

 

He has small notches along his gauntlets and tail plating.

 

"Very well." The waiter says, walking off.

"Hey." Aqui says, annoyed, staring at Sophie.

 

Sophie forms a telepathic link with Aqui, face buried.
"I'm sorry... but, at the same time, thank you for the heads up about the guard..."

 

Crystal make quick work looking for his spear, which, is out of his hands.

 

It's currently being offered to him again.

 

"No problem." Aqui responds annoyed, spilling more of her soup.

There's a bang as Ignia's head hits the table, Ignia quickly lifting it and looking around, embarassed.

 

"A-are you annoyed because of me, o-or...?"
Sophie doesn't seem to be looking at Ignia at all.

 

"No." Aqui responds bluntly, trying to eat her soup.

Stephanie glances around the table curiously, watching everyone.

 

"Okay... s-sorry." Sophie mutters, eventually falling asleep, head already down on the table.
