Fair talk here - I don't think it's THAT trash. It is a bit gimmicky, but I feel like the paid multiplayer will turn a lot of people away from it.
Otherwise, the release/planned titles look fantastic. I don't know if I'd buy it just to play one or two games, though.

Nah that seems pretty subjective to me.

Personally I'm excited, even if others understandably disagree.

The price for Japan is somewhere around 17-26 dollars yearly so for US it'll probably be like 30, half the price of what the other companies do, at least. Hopefully the online service will actually be improved to justify having a cost at all though.

They had too many complaints about lackluster online, I guess. At least there's a free trial for the first 6 months or so.

 

6 months... well if paid multiplayer means too playing with my friend (local) yeh definetly its trash
i only use my WII U for play pikmin 3 or SSB with my friend lol
i still think paid multiplayer is a real scam
my friends told me PS and XBOX also asks for money for multiplayer, reason of why i didnt buy these consoles (also because the only games i saw there were mortal kombat and shooters)

It's just paid online gaming, local multiplayer will still be free.

I'm contemplating whether to buy it or not. But the only thing keeping me away from it is the paid online services. If the rumored Pokemon Stars is real then I'll consider it but until then I'm not

 

I'm glad I wasn't the only one with those aggravating online issues in SSB. That was borderline unplayable. They better have fixed that if I'm going to pay for it, else I'm not going to be a happy customer.

Why are we discussing the third Gen 7 Pokemon game on a Switch thread anyways? I doubt it's coming on Switch.

 

Cause it is coming to the switch, duh. It's been confirmed that it is. Just the name has been unannounced. And Pokemon Stars makes the most sense because a list that was leaked before the Nintendo Switch announcement showed games that were going to be on the switch and 99.9% of them were announced that day, with the .1% being a mains series Pokemon game.
