Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"You can't undo what you've done..." Stephanie says ominously, turning back, "But you say you are sincerely sorry...Apology accepted..."

Stephanie's fingers clink as she delicately runs her thumb over her fingers on each hand.

 

Xlentia sighs, a coin denting the ground behind Stephanie.
"...I know it doesn't make up for anything, but that potion looked rather... important."

 

Stephanie kneels and picks up the coin, observing it. The coin clinks as Stephanie picks it up.

"Potion...?" Stephanie asks eerily.

With the giant dragon gone, Crystal quickly gets bored, and turns to me.
"Is there anything interesting to do around here?"
"Do you find a library interesting?"
"Not really..."
"Well..."
I pause to think.
"We have the free time."
I say, holding out my hand.
"...What?"
"I'd image we're hunting down this Hive Master guy. We might want to get better at this."
"Oh! ...Fair point."
With this, Crystal takes my hand, becomes my armor, and we start doing various training exercises.

 

Xlentia scrapes the note off her claw via the coin, delicately applying next to no pressure.
"I made a single exception to messing with your stuff since it seemed like you left it for me. Bottle busted, though, too big to avoid it. My bad."

A draconian notices, and, wearing heavy red armor, he approaches you.
"Hey, maybe you'd find our facilities of use? Now that we're no longer ordered to attack your group, may as well use the resources you've got."


@Artemis & Apollo
You find yourself shaken gently, your back cold.
"Girl... come on... hang in there..."

 

"Should we go?"
I say out loud to Crystal.
"I'm interested. Whaddya got?"
He asks the draconian.

 

"Mmm? No, not now..." Elyra mutters incoherently before the cold registers. Her eyes flash open.

 

"Oh...right..." Stephanie says, her voice echoing as she reads the note, "It was..."

 

"Why don't you come see for yourself? Name's Kyle, by the way. Pleasure to meet you two as an ally." He says, gesturing for you to follow as he walks off.

"W-whoa, hello... you feeling okay? I found you knocked out dangerously close to the magma..." A man asks, dressed in half-rags, half-decent clothes.

"If that Myria requests payment, that should cover it. If she doesn't, buy yourself something nice. Also, when your friends recover, please send them my way... the gravity here is starting to kill me."

 

As we follow, Crystal takes the time to loosen up from being my armor, and trying out a few different items, all which I try adapting to while following Kyle.
"Nice to meet you, Kyle. I'm Thirteen, this is Crystal."

 

Feels like a bit of a walk...
"Never met a shapeshifting mineral before." Kyle chuckles.

 

Elyra glares with fixed eyes, ignoring the question and launching her own. "Who are you. What do you want. How long was I unconscious." Her voice does not sound quizzical.

 

The man, concerned, opts to just leave her alone, leaving the room.

 

"Do you think I could return to your realm...?" Stephanie asks hollowly, her glass body adding to it, "I have...unfinished business. There's not much to do here anyway..."

 

Crystal, who is now donning the form of a spiked shield, responds.
"And I've never met a... uhh... draconian, before."
Crystal emphasized 'draconian' in a questioning way, double checking that that's what Kyle is.

 

"With who? Answer is probably yes, though." Xlentia responds.

"Didn't you know Ihra?" Kyle asks, not paying too much attention to what's behind him.

 

"My allies in battle..." Stephanie says ominously, "I'd also like to retrieve what remains of my clothing and personal items..."

 

"They are still in the pile, otherwise undisturbed. I made sure of it. Again, I know it's... stupid... but I'm sorry. I feel weak for being unable to snap his control sooner." Xlentia sighs, turning around.
"On second thought... I'm too tired to open a portal back..."

 

"I'm unsure how to return without your power..." Stephanie says, her voice echoing slightly, "I only have access to basic voodoo and telekinesis in my current state..."

 

"A bunch of guardians brought me here. I dunno if there's any left for the return trip of if I'm stuck here for a bit." Xlentia groans.
