Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"The... uh... one where you fell unconscious..."

I check the condition of the eye.

I explain.

 

"A little bit smashed." Emerald says, clearly busy.

"I figured it out. How the hell did that bastard mind control me?" She growls.

The eye seems scratched up and blood red but fine otherwise.

 

"I dunno. Ask the man himself....wherever he is."

 

"O-Oh...what should we d-do?" The fire guardian asks nervously.

 

"That's why I want him here."

"Keep working and wait for the others to recover and work on reviving her. Because, you know, magic and bullshit and stuff."

 

"O-Ok, I shall." The fire guardian says, leaving the archive room.

A short while later, Emerald feels a presence in her room.

 

Emerald sighs.
"They'll be back soon."

 

"Who will...?" Stephanie asks. Her words sound hollow.

 

"All of them." Emerald replies.
"Now, commune with the spirits. Your eldritch antics saved your soul. Stay here, and you can one day return."

 

(OOC: Where is Aj right now?)

 

"It was not the dark gods, it was myself..." Stephanie says hollowly.

"Exactly what I said... and it is that keeping you, you. Now, speak with the Ethereals. You will need to sustain yourself until your friends can return you to this plane of existence."

 

"I am sustained through voodoo..." Stephanie says hollowly, the archive room turning colder.

 

"Not my affair. If you don't care about my recommendations, ignore them."

 

Stephanie leaves, looking for Ethereals in the library.

 

All others in the library are reading - somehow able to hold the physical copies of the books.

 

Stephanie floats around, looking for an Ethereal she's able to talk to.

 

"'That bastard?'"
Crystal seems confused, as I decide to listen on more intently.

 

"From my notes, it seems most people who aren't from Aj's realm have at least some beef with him."
