I saw the alert and got excited for battle progress and getting to fight Vansil
Then I clicked the alert...

 

you hide in the slums outside the city to take a rest. Suddenly someone drops from the ceiling above you to the ground. She holds a staff in her hand and makes a symbol on the ground. You realize it is a battle arena symbol. You cannot run from this fight... "You killed the one person I loved. Now you will die to!" she yells.

You have defeated half of Krakov's infantry. You hear a pair of loud screams come from the river.
The you see to Krakens coming towards you. They both carry a spear in two of their 12 tentacles.

I fire off a couple crossbow bolts into the tentacles

Okay... Valus will set a line of spikes to slow down and maybe damage the Krakens and infantry.
The Archer will fire arrows into whatever the krakens use to see.
I guess we can have Zna dash at and spin attack/smoke bomb any enemies the come close to crossing the spikes.
I'll toss some throwing knives into the crowd and cut down whatever successfully crosses the spikes.

 

I'm already firing, so I'll keep taking pot shots until it gets closer

I keep raining down meteors while also healing my fellow fighters.

 

I decide to take a different approach to preserve magic energy
I swing my grappling blade like a whip of sorts to slice the krakens from afar

Ok then...
Ron's Move: Try to fire arrows at the tentacles the Krakens are using to... Uh... Walk. Should cripple them.
Zna's Move: Smoke Bomb the non-blind Kraken, then multihit one or both while they're blinded. Return to the group
Valus's Move: Make a circle of spikes from the earth around a Kraken that move inward, which would impale and trap it.
My Move: Flurry of attacks on the blinded kraken with my sword.

 

Does Valus have a mana pot I can take?

 

I wave my hand, dismissing the fact. "All the more fun. I shall begin right away, hmm?"
