Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I fly up and get an aerial view to size it up better.

Crystal tries to then launch the tentacle up and to the side, trying to launch it into the air so it floats back down.

 

"I am not a sir."

Still doesn't help. Huge is huge.

The tentacle does exactly what Crystal wants it to do.

 

"Oh, t-terribly sorry, Madam." Lian says, embarrassed.

 

Peridot rolls its eyes.
"Genderless."

 

"O-O-Oh...uhm...my sincerest apologies, uhm, robot? Y-You see, where I-I come from, w-we have a female robot." Lian says, sounding like he's on the brink of a breakdown.

 

Peridot pauses.
"I guess I am closer to male, if gender must be assigned for convenience."

 

"V-Very well, Sir, if you are alright with being called a Sir." Lian says, bowing.

 

"Whatever makes you shake less." Peridot mutters.

 

Lian looks to Sophie desperately, hoping for some kind of escape from the situation.

 

"Empower?" Sophie offers.
"What?"
"Nothing you need to concern yourself over."
"I want to leave anyways. I must move on."
"Thanks for the visit, then."
"Keep alive."

 

Lian hastily disappears, and Sophie feels a bit stronger.

"T-Thank you, Miss Sophie. My sincerest apologies for acting so foolishly in front of you and your guest like that." Lian apologises.

 

"You handled it decently."

Peridot leaves.

 

"I hope I-I haven't d-disappointed you, M-Miss Sophie." Lian says nervously.

 

"Of course you haven't." She says sweetly. "Besides, the autobreather was starting to give. I need you for that, too."

 

"Oh, p-perhaps I should t-take you back to the lab f-for repairs." Lian says, still recovering from the encounter with Peridot.

 

"I can't go back." Sophie says bluntly.

 

"O-Oh...sorry, Miss Sophie. I am unable to open a portal for you, so I believe we're stranded here." Lian says, his voice losing hope.

 

She laughs.
"No, we're not. You want to go back? I can bring you back to the palace."

 

"Uhm, o-only if you believe you need your autobreather fixed, M-Miss Sophie." Lian says submissively.

 

"Can't you help me breathe?" Sophie thinks.
