Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Hey! Who do you think you're trying to hunt!?" Lian shouts confidently.

 

The hunters turn.
"Heh... you now."
Frustrated, the mecha impales them with extending tail spines.

 

Lian looks panicked, running back inside.

"MISS SOPHIE HELP!" Lian screams, terrified, running to Sophie.

 

"At least it isn't biomes." She flips through the book. (OOC: Anddd it's biomes)

 

She sits up, weary.
"Hmm?" She utters.

It seems to be a journal - a record of things Xlentia has seen throughout her travels.

 

"H-Hunters are t-t-trying to kill m-me!" Lian says, terrified.

 

"Where are they?" Sophie asks, sitting up.

 

"O-Outside." Lian says shakily.

 

"She keeps her journal in the library? That's...strange." She keeps on reading for anything REALLY interesting.

 

Sophie gets up and heads outside.

"They look dead to me."
"Sister..." The mechanical voice utters.
"Shit... you look less like a scrap heap."
"I am no longer a scrap heap."

For obvious reasons, no secrets here.
Darn.

 

"Darn." She looks for another book that isn't biomes and plants.

 

The entire shelf is Xlentia's journals. Maybe you should look elsewhere.

 

Lian stays inside, blending in with the darkness.

 

What shelves are available?

 

"Your shadow companion lacks stealth or subtlety."
"They're just keeping me alive."
"Were you not before?"
"No, I just slept to kill time."

She looks for a shelf on history of the draconians.

 

Lian makes himself invisible in the darkness to prove a point, mildly annoyed.

 

There's two shelfs.
Pick one, right or left.

One of the mecha's metal spines shoots out straight at Lian's neck, barely not touching him.
"He needs to stop fearing me. I tried to draw them off."

 

Left, because you never trust your dominant side.

 

Lian melds into the darkness the moment the spine is fired, essentially becoming the darkness itself.
