When Does Wynncraft Take Place?

Now, it's unsure of when Wynncraft does even take place on Earth and when it takes place so I just wanted your opinions on when you though Wynncraft took place.
I would typically just say Middle Ages but;
- Computer in ??? quest
- Electromagic and Electromagnetic energy in "Heart of Llevigar" Quest
- (Possible) Biplanes found in the Jungle
- Corkus which is shown to have mechanical contraptions more advanced than ones on Earth irl

It may never be revealed when Wynn takes place just wanted to know when you think it takes place

 

It takes place in a magical world where there is no Medieval Times. It is just ruled by a monarchy with the majority using old technology like horse transportation. However, some minority discovered mechanical and electro magic, making new developments in the magical provinces of Wynn, Gavel, Fruma, Dern, and Corkus. So basically, it is its own timeline.

 

Didn't know this thank you for informing me! However, if you are into SciFi it would be interesting to see if our universe and the Wynn universe are connected through some portal since Wynn portals have great power. Maybe that's how Corkus found there source of mechanical power, something crossed from our world into theirs.

Hmm, so possibly the civilians found a magical portal that gave them access to cool machines from the future, only for a limited time, although the computers got lost in time (meteors). They got refounded and remade, with some parts being taken for use of machines in Corkus. But then again, it is a theory, afterall xP.

 

Possibly, it would be interesting to see if we learn the source of machines and their ideas when Corkus is released.
The chance of machinery being made that is the exact same in two different universes is near impossible so I think there has to be some connection with our world

In the past I've heard people define it as not being limited to any specific timeline. Since minecraft generally has an old medieval-ish theme, it's safe to say that Wynncraft probably began like that, but as time went on it borrowed things from the past and future.

 

True but like I mentioned, Computers weren't a thing in Medieval times so it kinda makes its own timeline is what I guess you're saying

It's maybe on a different planet in our galaxy, but years in the future(yet seconds in the past), so meteors carrying our old satellite debris crashed onto wynn, giving wynnians our technology. Maybe we'll go on a quest to find Voyager and recover @carl Sagans golden disk

 

it is definitely a biplane, I went to it a few months ago, and it's definitely a plane. As for the time, mainly midieval times, but lots of magic. And corkus' technology isn't more advanced than earth's rn, it's just steampunk, some stuff maybe we cant do here, but it's not like modern or anything, just magical. As for ???, that isn't really... how could I put this... Well, it's not really in Wynncraft. Obviously it's from the same server, but it's like a different world, it's all from space, probably some other planet that isn't currently in midieval times. Also, Wybels are from some other planet, bc they have the high tech stuff under wybel island, and are actually intelligent, as revealed by the orange wybel. In fact, Wybels might have came from the same planet as ??? stuff. So I guess that sort of makes it sci-if, but the world with gavel, Wynn, and the other provinces is staged in midieval times. And for llevigar's electromagic, well, it's not really science, as the NPCs and lore says, it's just magic, electromagic. I personally haven't really liked that though, it just seems to high-tech for the world of Wynncraft, even if it is just magic.

 

Wynn doesn't have a fixed time frame.

Everything that occured and anything that can occur can be from the past or the distant future. Hence, you have biplanes in the Sky Islands, computers and mechs in Gavel, steam engines in Corkus, and a visiting a distant planet with intelligent life in Recipe for Disaster(Brie). And all of those exists within the same time frame as ancient monarchies, travelling by caravan, knights and footsoldiers, plus most of the stuff in medieval times.

To put short, Wynn is a fantasy world operating under circumstances against most of our understanding of physics and relativity, and an environment much more dangerous than our own.

 

Wynn takes place in the future, after Trumpet starts a war with every country.

When is the wrong question, it's "where" that matters more. It's clearly not on Earth, so there's no way to pinpoint a time period or even relate it to one from Earth.

The closest we can get is Medieval times if the Industrial Revolution happened far earlier in some areas.
