Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Lian seems somewhat depressed, keeping quiet.

 

"Here..." Sophie says, showing Lian a vision of Milla's... affair... with Aj.

 

"I d-don't see many problems w-with his actions..." Lian says quietly.

 

"That's because you 're used to it. To us, he'd be put to death for a 'crime.' Cultural differences..."

 

Lian just remains quiet, not wanting to do anything wrong.

 

I wave my hand in font of her eye, checking if she's asleep.

 

"...Milla, go take the contract in Kunari."
"W-wh... really? YESS! Hell yes, thank you for finally letting me!" Milla shouts, rushing outside, jewelry left behind.

"...and don't kill yourself in the pits..." Sophie sighs. "I'm sorry, Lian. That traumatized her."

No reaction.

 

"I'm...not really sure what I'm meant to be doing," Lian admits, "Apart from helping you, Miss Sophie."

 

"That's it. I'm sorry to expose you to my life." Sophie sighs.

 

"I hope I'm not intruding on it too much, Miss Sophie." Lian says apologetically.

 

Satisfied, I walk over to Cecil.

"Hey, we can get to the fine details later. If she wakes up with less energy again, try not provoke her, or talk about her killing things, unless she asks. Okay?"
I seem serious.

 

"I don't mind a bit. New things all around." Sophie says. "I forget Milla's so... like herself. I think her contracts have gotten the best of her." Sophie sighs.

 

"I can't help feel like we've sort of switches roles here in a way," Lian says, "Instead of me informing you about things, you're informing me about things. Well, things related to your homeworld."

 

"Ok." That's all she says.

 

"Nah, this isn't our homeworld. We don't have a homeworld anymore. Still, you're supposed to keep me alive. You just enjoy the ride... Or something." Sophie utters, tired.

 

"Very well, Miss Sophie." Lian says, before going quiet.

 

"...Tell me what's wrong?"

 

"Nothing, Miss Sophie. I await your command." Lian says.

 

"I'm resting. I'll look for water later."

 

Lian looks for somewhere dark to lurk in, waiting for any sort of command from Sophie.
