Ok, from what I know that is malware, DO NOT CLICK THAT BUTTON! I can't continue to help you right now, but I will be back tomorrow to help a bit more, just for now remember not to click ok, its designed to look like a windows update form. I guess your best bet for now is to run a complete scan with your anti-virus, though that might not pick anything up

Edit: oh, also, as it forces focus, i've been using task manager to close it for the past one to two months

That is some Grade A, 100% verified virus right there. I would not click that thing if I were you, take it from someone who clicked something like that and downloaded 300+ viruses onto my computer. I just did a quick check on this "Mshta.exe" thing. Some sources saying it's a vital program for the computer but other sources, especially lots of virus defense websites, are saying it's a Trojan. Bottom line, don't click that thing.

Ok, Windows defender is shit. I'm going to be honest with you, you there are plenty of free anti-virus software out there, I would recommend you download either avast or malwarebytes.

Yeah, this is definitely really sketchy. If you click it, it'll probably download a "rogue" - a virus that's also classified as a trojan, but it's in the form of a fake anti-virus/browser/etc.

The only thing I recommend is getting a better antivirus like Malwarebytes (for long-term scans/live protection) and HitmanPro (for one-time scans and ransomware that doesn't encrypt your files).

Malwarebytes is generally the crowning antivirus program of all antiviruses. I don't have any other words on it. It's just great and a good thing to install on every PC in the house.

HitmanPro uses multiple antivirus databases to scan your computer, which I can see being stronger than Malwarebytes. It's not an effective antivirus on its own, as you need to scan it manually and doesn't have any other features outside of the scanning. It's mostly used for removing ransomware, but you can use it in conjunction with Malwarebytes to clean your whole computer out of this crap.
