Are These Possible?

Is it possible to:

1. Make a creature (like a pig or something) follow a specific path and wait for the player to be close enough before walking more? (like leading the player somewhere and waiting if they fall behind?)
2. have a floating experience orb inside an invisible mob that represents a fairy you can speak to (for starting a quest or something?)
3. *Edit* I didn't know there was a shadow clone, but now I do. (I'm excited for that quest now!) I have a new question now: Does shadow clone copy the player's stats too, and if it doesn't, is that possible?

 

I know this is definitely possible, there are XP orb mobs all over the light forest (not sure if they're inside of an invisible mob tho), and in the Llevigar plains. however, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be able to be a quest NPC because of the limits in the plugin that does quests and stuff

 

I dont know much about this kind of stuff, but im going to make a guess about a few.

1. Dont know much about mob pathing and AI having to do with that. So idunno.

2. If its a model, then i dont see any issue with doing something like that. But i believe that an EXP orb can work, as i think that some enemies have the EXP orb as their model, so an NPC should work as well, but thats assuming that its that alone, which it isn't. I'm not sure about this specific one either.

Based on my experience with coding and how entities work in minecraft:

1. yes, detecting nearby players and stopping movement on a preordained path if a player entity is not detected.
2. doesnt have to be inside another mob, an experience orb is considered and Entity and thus, can be given AIs.
3. Yes, Already been done, shadow clone.

 

I didn't know there was a shadow clone... does it copy the player's stats? (is that possible?)

 

I'm mostly sure it's possible, shadow clone just puts a copy of you where you cast it and you go invisible

 

1) A lot of cutscenes involving mobs/talking NPCs involve something called "Script" or "WynnScript", which allows for such things such as the Meaningful Holiday cutscenes or the long Hallowynn scene. If the mob was separate, it couldn't be placed on a specific path or move the way you want it too.

2) There are ways to make NPCs in quests appear different than a villager. Since the xp orb is an entity, it can be used as an NPC mob type if you wanted to. The same applies for other entities, such as the cows in Cowfusion (which are cows, not villagers).

3) I'm not sure about a shadow clone, but it might be possible if the coding already exists.

so isn't that breaking eula, giving ninja something that could(possibly) give ninja an advantage?

 

If anything that makes ninja worse since people know when you are vanished or not

 

It's just visual, which is technically allowed. Weather it's better or not depends entirely on how they react, it doesn't really change much

There is a weapon skin that's red, which makes you more confidant. This makes you gitgud. Server //banned

 

speaking of red in color psychology it makes you angrier and more aggressive playstyle
so blue, a color that makes you calmer and think through things more would technically be more powerful with the right build bc you could dodge a lot of stuff (seriously when grinding even with no ws I'm able to keep calm and dodge every mob by keeping my distance)

I figured that out at comment 8 (less than 4 hours after I thought it was an enemy in a quest)
