    I couldn't agree more. Autism, especially aspergers, isn't just a social disability, it's a change to one's persona. To be honest, I actually enjoy the effects. After all, it does allow me to shame people to no end about lying or caring too much about vanity due to it. I'm introverted anyway, and got used to the effects long, long ago. I've also had therapy to made it less obvious, which will likely be useful over the next 4 years. The emotional effects persist, though. The best part is that I can say, "Trust me, I have autism" and actually be factually correct.

    But yeah, I have no problems online as well, but irl I have major trust issues and have difficulties in conversation, sometimes straight-up stuttering.

    Likely, I was told a few years ago that it's rarity was decreasing... It's apparently genetic, but whether it's dominant, recessive, etc, is unknown, and, quite frankly, killing me ;-;

    I think this is an issue any introverted person can have while trying to talk in real life. I occaisionally trip over my words, especially when talking to large groups.

    What are the odds? Anyway, I also got a mild case, thank god. I experience some issues chronically, including what is essentially a case of OCD that just drank 50 energy drinks while having ADHD (okay, that is most definitely hyperbolic), but I am generally fine.

    Apparently my therapist (who specializes in aspergers) has some patient with really, really bad cases. After knowing about some of those people... Well, let's just say I have something to be grateful for.

    Make that a sixth. I have Asperger's as well, and the only thing you can really do is learn to adapt to it. Even with the condition, I made the top 5% in my senior class and am currently in an Honors College on a full scholarship, so despite everything people with the issue can function well. The main issue is social interaction, which is hard for those with Asperger's. It can be nullified to a point, but if you have the condition you'll still have the problem slightly.

    As for the twitching, I never got "irritated" by it, but Asperger's people tend to have things they personally get annoyed with. I think the affected player may be personally sensitive to the twitching of the hunger bar. You can try to cover the bar up with a piece of cardboard taped to the computer (since the bar is stationary and only stays in one place unless the window is moved). You won't be able to see the mana amount, but it's the only thing possible in order to prevent the trigger from occurring.

    I hope he/she will be able to get through life okay. It can be hard at first, but if you adapt you can do amazing things. A lot of Asperger's people go on to do extraordinary tasks, jobs, or achievements, so make sure he/she keeps that in mind for the future.

    Indeed. If I remember correctly, it is believed that a few historical people did have aspergers themselves (though it's not confirmed because nobody knew it existed). As for the things that annoy people, yes, I can vouch for that (I can't touch a certain fabric without getting chills and tense up whenever I hear rap music).

    Getting used to it is difficult, but you can't really push it too hard, or it won't work. If one can adapt to it and it's disabilities, however, they can potentially excel more than many people without it.

    But seriously, why are there so many people with the condition here? Not complaining, but it's strange.

    To be honest, I'm surprised as well. Maybe many people keep it a secret (for fear of discrimination), and because this thread discusses autism people are more willing to express the truth. Also, Asperger's people may be more into gaming, so because this is a gaming community there are multiple people here with the condition (though I don't know if that's true since I have no evidence to back it up).

    It's probably the best form of autism you can get, since the people who have Asperger's are high functioning and may be able to excel well in school/college (with Asperger's I got A/B grades in High School AP/Dual Credit classes, while my non-Asperger's sister is performing worse than I did). Autism can get bad farther on the spectrum though, leading to the point where a person can't function without another's guidance. They're middle aged adults, but are pinned to a wheelchair and always need guidance by the parent or guardian, and honestly I get a bit upset when I see someone like this.

    Just be glad that you can still function like a normal person. The condition may hinder you some, but if you're determined enough you can prevail in life.

    Trust me, I know. My therapist has told me of a few patients that won't be able to function without anyone else. Ever. It's a sad way of life and, frankly, I'm worried it may go downhill for... Reasons that are far too controversial to discuss here.

    Your logic is also very... Uh... Logical, for lack of a better adjective (Vocabulary, why hast thou forsaken me?). I've kept my Aspergers hidden from anyone who is not my friend, teacher, or the like ever since I was diagnosed, which was, of course, a very smart choice. At this point in time, people discriminate. Sad, to say the least, and why I am so picky about who I even talk to.

    Though it's nice to be able to make fun of Donald Trump's lie rate with nothing that can really be said against me that's factual.
