Any Class Help Damage Question

I have watched many builds do like 40k damage and I see the weapon and the weapon itself only does like 200-900 something damage. and then the stats are like 80% thunder damage for like a thunder build. BUT they end up doing like 40k per spell. so I tried a mini version of a cataclysm build made by GlitchedSlayer.
I have a crossroad killer that does 2k average melee damage and have 75% thundert damage and 15% spell damage but its spin attack does only like 2k
HOW DO U GET WEAPONS TO DO LIKE 3K?11ONE1!

 

Tier attack, faster weapons do more spell damage. Crossroads had super slow so it's trash for spells.

 

crossroad killer is garbage thats why

 

because crossroad killer is super slow attack speed and cata is super fast attack speed

every attack speed has a "spell multiplier" meaning the damage of your weapon x the multiplier for the attack speed

super slow = 0,5x
very slow = 0,7x
slow = 1,3x
normal = 2x
fast = 2,6x
very fast = 3,3x
super fast = 4x


so weapons with higher attack speed tend to have less damage and weapons with slow attack speed tend to have high damage

and then theres cata with 142-931 thunder with super fast and t6 powders..

 

Because you gotta get good kid that's why.


But really crossroad killer isn't that good. The super slow attack speed significantly decreases its spell damage. Roulette is much better.

 

Cataclysm build by glitchedslayer is good for any thunder build that's not using cataclysm but you seriously need to get a better weapon than crossroad

But remember importance of attack speed > base damage for spell build

For thunder dagger I would suggest Lightning Edge then Specialist with good thunder and dex ID with T6 powders as end game weapon coz cataclysm is stupidly expensive (say the guy with one) but to be fair there isn't really good alternative options unless u want to spend your Hive master voucher on dagger and put T6 on it so you might want to invest in duo-elemental weapon as well

 

Use good weapons. Crossroad Killer is bad for spells. Also, people abuse the Specialist glitch to get that damage. The max spins you can do with glass cannon builds not using the specialist glitch are around 37.5k damage. Also, those builds have sub-1k hp, so I wouldn't recommend them. There also aren't many situations where you need 30k+ damage per hit. Good thunder assassin weapons are/can be
Lightning Edge,
Hive Dagger,
Cataclysm.
I can't think of any more off the top of my head, but I'm sure that there are many more.

 

can roulette work if It has good stats?

 

It can do 500+ spell based DPS, which isn't too good. It's better than Crossroad Killer though and I recommend testing it.

 

Needs some really good stats.

I got a roulette with 441% melee and 448% thunder damage. I use it on my lvl 84 assassin. It can most definitely work, but if you wanna go for great damage, use something other than roulette. Since %spell damage and %elemental damage do very little for roulette.

 

how much spin attack do u do average?
and can u tell me your build?

 

Morph-armor + executioner helmet (yeah, not really the most original armor. Nor is it that great for roulette. I suggest raw melee damage to go with roulette.)

I deal 0 - 600 damage per melee hit.

I'd say that I deal around 2.3K damage with my spin attack on average. With peaks of 3.5K and lows of 500 damage.
