Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"It just won't die..."

"T-that's what I want to know... um... why d-did you?"

 

"Another problem..."

 

"Something tell me what we don't know why we did because we didn't know that we did."
I respond, serious.
"So why do we need the power of Xelentia to kill it?"

 

"I didn't, Xlentia did. She just erased the guy." I say.

 

"You need her power to seal it... a-again..."

"I j-just said that the gatekeeper cannot be erased..."

 

"No, I meant the unkillable guy." I said, gesturing to Shadow Katana.

There's a large yawn nearby, and Aeris sits up, rubbing her eyes and spreading her wings, flapping them slightly. Aeris looks around, confused for a bit before realising where she is.

There's an ominous rumbling nearby...

 

"What's behind us is behind us... I'm just glad you didn't try to kill Commander Sapphire like you did me and Emily." Milla says, before realizing her mistake.

"Oh... y-you're awake... Emily said I needed to m-make sure you were okay..." Sapphire says, active camo noticeable as she moves towards Aeris.

 

"Well, it's rude to kill someone you've just m- WAIT WHAT!?" I exclaim.

"Ugh...wuh?" Aeris asks drowsily, before her eyes widen with fear as she notices the half-invisible Sapphire moving toward her. Aeris scrambles backward, reaching for and grabbing her boomerangs which begin to spark with electricity.

The rumbling continues. It seems to come in waves, growing then dying down.

 

"Hey, hey, h-hey... it's okay... stay still, you'll make the wound worse..." Sapphire pleads.

"Please tell me I didn't actually say that..." Milla groans.

 

The electricity fades slightly from the boomerangs, but a look of fear and caution remains on Aeris' face as she breathes incredibly fast.


"Say what?" I ask.

Myria winks at Milla subtly.

 

Sapphire puts some oddly warm ice on Aeris' shoulder.
"I'm surprised t-that you hadn't... um... noticed... the, uh, spectral tranquilizer." She says, about as cautious as Aeris.


Milla lets out a deep breath, letting hersef fall over.

 

Aeris folds her wings around her shortly after the ice is applied, shaking slightly inside a faux-cocoon of sorts.


I quickly catch Milla before she hits the ground before laying her down gently.

 

She feels a slight pinch as an ectoplasm of sorts is shown to her.
"You feeling okay, m-miss?" Sapphire asks, completely invisible as she's standing still.

You find yourself tied up in a pillow of yellow rope, though Milla laughs as you end up laying down as you try to set her down.

 

The pinch makes Aeris close her wings tighter, before she opens them slightly, moving some feathers aside to peek through.


I struggle, annoyed, before disappearing with the rope in a huff.

A short while later, I appear a short distance away from Milla, before sitting down with a dark red cup; a white top over it.

 

The goop seems to be thick and semi-transparent.
"I'm glad it was this and not poisons..."


Milla seems to have woven another rope pillow.
"Should I even ask?"

 

"W-What are you doing?" Aeris asks, half-unfolding her wings from around her.


I give Milla a glance, taking a sip from my cup. There appears to be a hole on the edge of the top with which to drink through.

 

"This w-would've made you sleep... a lot. Now you should b-be fine."

Milla glances around, having a guess what the source of shaking was.

 

Aeris looks at her shoulder cautiously, while checking over her white and gold-rimmed clothing.


A large boulder shakes slightly nearby.

 

"Is there any way I can contact her as of this moment?"

 

Her clothing has multiple punctures in it, though her body is fine.

Milla weaves a net, in case any piece of it flies towards the group.
