Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Cecil is going to observe the left path to see if anything changed.

 

"Some good, classic, quality, ground."
I respond, completely serious, and checking how far the barrier goes horizontally and vertically.

 

It's being stubborn, accepting the energy and expanding a little bit again.

There's been some progress made by Mortimer, Thirteen, Iruk, and Abigail, but only by about one barrier.

It goes through the walls, and you feel like it grew slightly just a moment ago...
"Hate to break it to you, but the creatures aren't ground and probably won't be thrilled with us using them as clubs."
Iruk sprays a spot on the ground. Spikes extend from a shell, a turtle-like creature snapping at him.

 

Eve just puts her hand on the barrier, doing nothing.

 

"This is getting ridiculous." Is anyone from the group is nearby?

 

Nothing happens.

Some of the group is outside, and a few are off to each side.

You notice, however, that someone slipped a ring on your finger. You didn't have it when you first came...

 

She's going to examine it.

"Please tell me I'm not married."

 

"Then fling them."
I say, getting ready to hit the barrier.
"Or pull apart some of the wall, if you can. The point is that you don't have to use yourself, specifically."

 

Eve gradually increases her force on the barrier slowly.

 

It has a carving of a dragon etched on it.

"They're going to fight back..." Iruk sighs.

It doesn't seem to have any give.

 

Eve thinks for a bit more, before flying up to the top of the barrier. I awkwardly attempt to climb the barrier before deciding to fly up too.

 

She can see a sapphire-scaled draconian laying on the roof of the palace, asleep.
...and no difference in the strength of the barrier.

 

Eve jumps up and down on the barrier, frustrated, as I fly over to the sapphire-scaled draconian, curious.

 

You manage to slip through a thread-size gap in the barrier as Eve doesn't make any progress.

The draconian seems asleep, but appears to be closer to unconscious.

 

I poke the draconian a few times to see if they're asleep or not.

 

They still seem like a ragdoll, but their eyes flip open, only the whites visible. Everything else suggests they're just laying there.

 

I wave my hand in front of their eyes.

"Hello? Anyone home?" I ask.

 

Sapphire eyes slowly align themselves forward, and the draconian sits up slightly before gasping and passing out.

 

I decide to shake the draconian vigorously.

"WAKE UP!" I shout.

 

You end up flinging their ragdoll body off to the side. They then seem to stand up, opening their eyes.
"X-x-xlentia didn't s-send you... d-did she?" She stammers.
