Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"At least you know now, not the hard way." Rineth sighs.

 

"It could turn the tides of the battle. Thank you, Rineth." Mortimer says.

 

"Here we go..." Cecil approaches the portal with everyone else.

 

"I'm sorry I cannot aid you directly, but I will ensure you do not get cut off from the portal."

Xephyr pats you on the shoulder.
"Do not try to pass your limits." She says, worried.

 

"Rineth, if I don't return, tell my wife to turn off the oven. I left it on." I say jokily.

 

"I'll try my best?"

 

He leans down to Artemis.
"Good luck." He chuckles.

"Just... don't leave Kailee to herself."

 

"I just hope I can protect Mother and Aj. I've never been in such a large battle before, I feel like all my training has led up to this," Artemis says, taking off her blindfold, "Please, look after this for me. Just in case...I fall."

Artemis offers Rineth her blindfold.

 

Rineth takes it, gently folding it over his tail.
"By Voidwalker's word." He says, bowing.

 

"She'll have everyone else...That isn't Aj and Myria."

 

"Thank you, Rineth." Artemis says, walking toward the portal everyone is gathered around. I seem to be at the front of the queue.

 

"You're her only family now." Xephyr says, turning towards the portal.

Ihra glances at everyone.
"This is it... once we enter, we cannot be distracted, cannot mourn, cannot let ourselves be caught off guard. I... I thank you all for taking this step with me."

 

"LETS KILL SOME FUCKING DRAGON!" Abigail roars, a large pile of explosives being easily help by the imp behind her.

 

Ihra smiles, taking a deep breath before closing her eyes, letting herself fall as she disappears into the portal.

"It's all up to you now..." Rineth utters, tense.

 

The group steps through the portal, ready.

As soon as I'm through, I look around for any signs of enemy.

 

You are outside the palace, the doors towering above you.
Ruby's crudely drawn map is on the ground in front of you.

 

"Pyrotechnics, cue blowy upy door sequence." I say, looking at the door.

Abigail and Ignia run to the door, grabbing some explosives from the imp. They place it around the doors before lighting it, not trying to run from the resulting massive explosion. The pair go flying into the air as the bombs explode, hopefully blasting open the doors.

 

"Hopefully that worked."

 

Screeching creatures fly from all directions as the door crumbles, apparently truly alive as some serpentine creatures dart out and snap at everyone in the group, one clipping your foot - if it was physical.

 

I smirk, before holding Shadow Katana outwards and spinning around incredibly fast, creating a mini tornado of death which sweeps through the creatures, leaving nothing but death behind in its wake. The group steps back, as to not get caught.
