Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Is that for one tablet or all of them?" Ihra asks, nervous.

 

"Do you want me to be safe about it?" I ask, raising both hands in the air. A gigantic missile forms above me about 2/3rds the size of Rineth, and even I seem to have struggle holding it up.

"P-Pillaged this f-from the war." I say, my struggle to hold it up causing me to sink into the ground.

 

"Hopefully that covers it..." Ihra says, shaking.

 

I drop the gigantic missle to the side, causing a mini-earthquake in the process.

"ROCKET SHIP!!!" Abigail can be heard shouting in amazement.

"M-Maybe I can fly that into Xlentia's mouth, eh? Haha..." I say, trying to recover.

 

"That'd be a deathwish unless it explodes into shadowfire." Ihra says, now on her back.

 

"Yeah...you probably want to cover your eyes when it explodes, I think I got it from the light realm." I say.

 

"No, you... you dip. You're going to RIDE it AT XLENTIA. THINK ABOUT IT."

 

"I wasn't actually going to ride it at Xlentia. You think I'm an idiot?" I ask, serious.

 

"I figured you weren't, but with you I never know."

 

"You think I'd go from the sincerity of giving you a very important item to 'Yee haw lets fly inside a god on a missle, hoo dawgy!'" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

 

"That wouldn't exactly surprise me." Ihra giggles.

 

"God dammit, Ihra." I say, shaking my head and laughing.

 

"So, your group is ready? Ish?"

 

"I think the teams are sorted and ready." I say, confident.

 

"Then let's not ride a missile into a god." Ihra laughs, the outline of the portal starting to form.

 

"Here we go, everyone!" I call. Most of the teams seem to be getting ready, drawing their weapons.

 

Rineth approaches.
"I didn't expect to fit, but good luck. I'll keep things held down on this end."

You can see a portal opening and everyone gathering around it. Looks like it's time...

 

"Thanks, Rineth," I say, smiling, "I hope I'll be able to return here victorious."

 

"Just beware of her breath. Same as mine; puts anything biological to sleep." Rineth warns. "And it's a lot harder to avoid if she fills her chamber with it."

 

"That seems like a major problem." I say.

"If we're quick enough, we may be able to administer a drug of sorts that prevents the brain from falling unconscious for a period of time." Mortimer says, walking over.
