The Real Way To Beat Twain's Ghost

You know those people? Those people that always go into melee? Well, you might know some, because many people do that. I had trouble beating the quest boss for The House Of Twain. And maybe you had some trouble too. But if you look at how I beat him, your life will be easier.

DISCLAIMER: I am not saying people that didn't do this are stupid, I'm just saying this is a technique that anyone can use.

Step 1: Enter the boss arena.
Step 2: Make Twain's Ghost and some Lost Souls interested in you.
Step 3: Run up the stairs.
Step 4: Make sure Twain's Ghost is not following you up.
Step 5: This may be a bit hard for non-parkourers, but get onto the stone fence on either the left or right balcony. Do this by going on the stair block at the left or right of the stairs, turn, facing 45 degrees away from the stairs (or less), and then run and jump.
Step 6: Drop to a lower block (but not the floor!), and make sure Twain's Ghost is still interested in you and under you.
Step 7: Wait until the boss's health reaches 500-1000.
Step 8: Jump down and kill the boss, retrieving Twain's Journal.

How This Works/The Dissection

By getting Twain's Ghost interested in you, he should be trying to get you. Then, since the Lost Souls are projectile mobs, they shoot wherever you are. Because of this, you can use it to your advantage. You can make the Lost Souls and Twain's Ghost below you, and the Lost Souls are trying to shoot up. But since Twain's Ghost is in their way, they hit Twain's Ghost instead of you. Why you need to get the final hit, is because only if you kill the boss, he will drop the Twain's Journal.

The process of getting an enemy 'Interested' in you so it follows you and/or attempts to attack you is called 'Aggroing', and the mobs are considered 'Aggroed' when they attempt to attack.

Idk why It was so hard for me to beat it at the time, but I was level 50 at the time. My brain cells probably died

 

Eh if one were to use underhanded methods, would it not be best to simply only get Twain's Ghost up the stairs, since the only things that do any real damage are Lost Souls.

I just completed twain's ghost with mage super EZ I only healed about 10 or so times. but then, i think wearing all legendary gear (except for stupid helmet) really makes the difference. (forgot chestplate, but i have godly holy greaves, 31% WS almuj walkers (some OP chestplate) Sage/Waves Raiser and +4/4 concentration... it wasn';t that hard
