Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"That's what it's meant for, but I couldn't stand the thing." Xephyr groans.


Ihra runs up to Myria, rainbow-colored horns glowing slightly.
"Hey, Myria! I think I figured out how to get a portal near Xlentia's palace!"

 

Myria looks away from Artemis, who seems to be doing some bow training blindfolded.

"Are you sure that is a wise decision? Xlentia is very powerful, no?" Myria asks.

Artemis lands an arrow in a wooden dummy's eye a long distance away, cracking it's head.

 

"We still have to free her, or her powers are still against us." Ihra says, seemingly oblivious to the blatantly obvious issue.

 

"Easier said than done, Ihra. We'll need to gather everyone and sort out a battle plan." Myria says.

 

"Well, I know that. I just thought you'd like to know the news." Ihra says happily.

 

"Well done then, Ihra." Myria says, giving Ihra a pat on the head before turning back to Artemis.

 

Ihra darts off again, back into the city to check for Abigail or anyone else left in there.


Rineth approaches Katie and Xephyr.
"We're getting ready to move... you seen Aj?"

 

Ihra can feel an extreme heat coming from one direction in the city, while a dark presence resides in the other.


Katie shakes her head, "He might be on the beach somewhere, I'm not sure." She says.

 

Ihra heads towards the heat, reluctant.
"Abigail?" She calls.


"Alright. You and Crystie better hurry up, though. Happy happy fun time is over." Rineth says.
"I told you never to call me that again..." Xephyr growls.

 

"Yeah!?" Abigail calls back.

"Crystie?" Katie chuckles.

 

"We're gonna go crash Xlentia's palace!"


"She gave you her scepter?"
"Shut up, they don't need to know. My bad memories are my bad memories. She was kind enough to relieve me of them."

 

"Uh, sure. Just, give me a moment!" Abigail shouts back hastily.


"She didn't want the memories it brought so I thought I'd look after it for her." Katie says happily.

 

"Sure. Is Aj with you?"


"What was wrong with-"
"Shut up, Rineth. Before I freeze your mouth shut." Xephyr growls.
"...Fine."

 

"Uh, no! AH FUCK!" Abigail curses. An explosion can be heard shortly afterward, and a few bits of rock bounce close to Ihra.


Katie looks around awkwardly, slightly embarrassed.

 

Ihra chuckles before moving towards the darkness.


"Sorry, Katie. Let's go."

 

The sky darkens the closer she gets. The whole area gives Ihra a bad feeling.

 

Ihra gives off a testing pulse of light.

 

The light is suppressed, even hurting Ihra slightly.

 

"Aj?" Ihra calls, tomes forming a ring.

 

No response. A fear builds in the back of Ihra's mind, driving Ihra away from the darkness.
