Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She looks in the direction the ball came from nervously.

 

It seems it came from the city, if the indentations in the ground are anything to go by. The ocean begins bubbling and freezing as bits of spike ball rise to the surface.

 

Avis goes back to trying to get Xephyr out of the ice, efforts still in vain.

 

It seems most of the ice crumbled when one of the sand creatures crawled over Xephyr, sand over her body.

 

Avis starts dusting her off, concerned.

 

The sand remains immobile, whatever had cursed it gone.

There's a splash from the ocean.

 

Avis glances towards the ocean, jumping on Xephyr in attempt to wake her up.

 

Katie flips out of the ocean, before diving back into it. Her lower half is, predictably, a fish tail.

 

Avis pauses, looking towards Katie.

 

Katie seems to be swimming around in the ocean, enjoying herself.

 

Avis seems curious, wandering towards the shoreline and spitting ice towards her to get her attention.

 

Katie bursts out of the water on a fountain of ice, holding her trident ready and scanning the shore.

 

Avis steps back, shaking slightly.
"Sorry." She utters.

 

"Who are you?" Katie asks, more curious than intimidating.

 

"Mama calls me Avis. Can you help her?" She asks, checking her back nervously.

 

"What's wrong with her? I'm not a very skilled healer." Katie admits.

 

"A person knocked out mama then made me cry!" Avis pouts.

 

"Oh, is she just unconscious?" Katie asks, a bucket made of ice forming in her hand.

 

"Unless he came back and stabbed her." She whines.

 

Katie forms a slide of ice down to the shore, which she slides down to, grabbing some water in her bucket that immediately cools. Katie pours the cold water over Xephyr, hoping to wake her up.

"Who knocked out Xephyr?" Katie asks, realising who it is now she's closer.
