Info In Regards To Duping

You guys are handling this situation very professionally, nice job.my only question is if we find a POSSIBLELY dupped mythic and sold it unknowingly would we be punished?

So he got banned for picking up mythics someone else duped and threw on the ground

You can if you are sure they're duped. Do take note of where you got it as that's vital information to us.

Should we record buying mythics so we have evidence for how much we bought it for?

 

If you feel the need to record details like that, then you probably have some suspicion that the item is duped. In that case, double check with us before buying it. If we give you the okay, then you don't need to record any details.

But yeah, it's always good to have all the details of the transaction in your hands should the transaction happen for some reason anyways (not sure what this would be, but there are always outliers I guess) so it's easier on us later, thanks ^^ recording would be helpful.

 

Okay, I've seen this duping stuff once or twice lately, can someone tell me what happened? Did someone find an exploit, or what?

 

A dupe exploit was found and a large amount of duped mythics got distributed around. We're currently trying to stem the dispensation and take care of the issue. We can't release much more information regarding that.

All you really need to know is what you should do, should you stumble upon any of the outlined situations. A lot of people had been reacting in not the best possible way and this thread is just to set some guidelines.

ive tested this. THEY DO NOT HAVE THE SAME IDS WHATSOEVER

 

Sorry, but we can't tell you that. The prosecution process is made confidential with respect to the player involved so as to not spread rumors or instigate witch hunts.

Yes. The issue is that the duped mythics were unidentified and sold as such. If the IDs were all the same, that'd make it so much easier for us :')

Anyways, there are still other factors that we look out for, and when we prosecute for dupe/possession it is when we are 100% certain. That's all you need to know ^^

When someone finds a new glitch or bug that allows them to dupe, then it's a completely new problem for us. In that sense, I guess it is "unstoppable" if you assume there are infinite unknown methods to duping...? This has indeed happened in the past and the mod team has successfully settled those cases swiftly and professionally. It's extremely rare that they would get blown to such big proportions before the team puts a stop to it, but it does happen.
