Mage/Dark Wizard Help Mage Build?

I'm fairly inexperienced at this, so can I get some advice on spending my stat points?
I'm going for a huge mana pool and some damage if possible, so what would the optimal build be for that?

Some suggestions as to what kind of gears I should use/avoid would be helpful. There's no need to suggest specific gears as I'm at a low level rn.

 

What level should it be? I don't want to suggest a bunch of stuff to have it all be too high level for you.

 

I'm only level 20+, which is really low :P, so I just need the ending stat points and the type of gear I should go for (eg:hp regen, etc)

 

Oh wow, you won't need a real build for a looong time. For now, I think you should put skills in every element (who knows what you'll need) and focus on armor that gives lots of skill points all around and some mana regen.

For your weapons, try keeping 2-3 on your first few slots, with different elements. On my low-leveled mage, I have a water wand with air powder, and a earth-fire wand with a thunder powder; this way, you will always be able to use any element you want.

at lv 20 i'd just meet the armor reqs and then save the rest or put everything in dex lol
