So I thought of this after seeing this dagger on the forum.


If you combine this with Cancer you can max out your attack speed with no negative impact on dps (spell damage and melee damage percent only effects neutral damage)
and if you are wearing the fire sanctuary leggings, it is an additional 85% damage to both spell and melee.


What else could be added to this build?

 

I'm pretty sure melee and spell damage percent affects elemental damage... It's supposed to anyway.

 

wrong. raw doesn't affect it, percent does. cancer will wreck this

 

I think leo and shawl of Gaea would give some good fire dmg?

 

I have been using a cancer taurus combo for a long time, (until Taurus was nerfed). My weapons used several tire 6 powders and I saw no difference in the damage I dealt. Unless this was changed in a recent update, element damage is only effected by percent element damage.

 

Maybe cause of Taurus's massive raw damage boost?

 

I don't think you tested it
correctly, as this has always been the case.

 

I will test it again tomorrow and give you the results. I remember doing about 800 water damage on top of 1200 melee damage.

 

Btw I have tested it before. I used Salticidae (only air-earth, no neutral)
and chestplate of ineptitude (massive +%melee, massive -%spell)
My melee did much more and my spin attack did much less after putting it on

so it is true that elements are effected by spell and melee damage, I never noticed it before because my strength and dexterity was so high when I was using Cancer Taurus.

Also don't use cancer, other gear's combo can do better dps despite not having max attack speed, but if u r insist of using it becoz u got a really god cancer then go for it
However just a heads up flamshot's spell damage is really bad I used a bunch of fire gear to boost its spell dmg up and it's spell dps is still a lot worse than melee dps.
