How Wynncraft Calculates Damage

I am really confused right now.
Eg. glitchedslayer did 20-30k damage for spins with cata.
I have no idea how 20k is calculated.
cata basic damage is 1k at most ( with powders )
Even with crit its 2k, with the dex and strength skill points its 4k, and his ids is like +50%, so its like 6k.
Well spin attack deals 2times damage so its 12k.
How do people get like 30k per spin? Not to mention that cata is like 200-1000, 1000 is the maximum :/ and they get 20k on average.

Also, sometimes my elemental defense gets lower and sometimes it gets higher but I changed nothing. And I have no idea how its calculated.
My fire is like 1.7k and air defnse is like 300.
My armour has now powders, I wear stardust, gravity vaward and leadlights. But in leadlights my fire defense is only around 12%. My accessories don't contribute to element defense, so I'm confused how come my fire is so high and air is so low, and how its calculated :/ ( my weapons doesn't contribute to elemental defense either )

 

So you may not know this but the original weapons speed of a weapon effects spell damage having a super fast weapon like catalyst deals x4 spell damage also there are other factors such as spell damage bonus dexterity and also how leveling up your skill points increase that elemental damage. Pretty much the main point is that a super slow weapon that lets just say has 1000 damage can deal about the same amount of damage as a super fast weapon with 200 base damage.

 

I know, but each hit for a super fast weapons is lower. Just it can hit more times. ANd each of his spin attacks are at least 20k. Also I counted dex and earth in the skill points part

Does earth skill points count?
Also what tier is how many times attack power? I thought it was attack speed?

 

Strength doesn't affect this, it only affects melee neutral and earth damage. Cataclysm is Super Fast, so the Attack Toer in the formula is 4. Also, press reply in the bottom right to notify someone of your response.

if defense only affects neutral then shouldn't strength do the same

 

no........................ defense only affects neutral cause it would be INSANELY OP if it did. there is no reason for strength to do that...

Why would it be OP? Agility effects all damage and isn't even effected by kb

 

cause right now, there are builds that only take damage from mythics like fatal/cataclysm/poison. with this, any 150 def warrior INSTANTLY becomes a rainbow tank...

 

well yknow defense and strength both say something about affecting ALL damage

 

I know strength does, but where does it say that of defense?

 

So. Eg I have a weapon with 58-580 thunder , supet fast attack speed. If my armour provides 2 extra tiers, 30thun and 30 spell, the spin attaxk should be around
6*320*(2+30%)*(1+30%)*(1+70%)=9760, right? And if it crits, 20k?
320 is average and spin attack is 2+30% or 2+60%?

 

the tier attack speed id does not affect spell damage

 

I meant spin attack.

 

They also have to sacrifice damage, ws, or both.

 

So having max ids is really crucial...
Especially attack tiers, one more tier gives about 1-2k more per spin :O

 

attack tier, the ID doesnt affect your spell damage (anymore)
it only works with melee
