So we've all heard of Elemental Tank builds. Expensive and annoying to kill, these builds are rather popular.

My question is, how is +x% Elemental Defense calculated? Is it: Raw elemental defense added up (like the bonuses on armor), THEN the % amount is added to that amount?

So lets take Gravity for example. We have +250 Air Defense. I decide to use Gemini as well. That means we have, say, +50% Air Defense from Gemini. Would your total Air Defense be 250+(250 times .5) ?

Actually there might be a chance that elemental defense is completely broken in PvP, Not in the meaning of "Too overpowerd", But in the meaning of glitched, I talked to one of the admins about it and he said that for example 100 raw thunder defense should basically stop 100 thunder dmg, For example a mob does 150 thunder dmg to you, You'll only take 50, In PvE it seems to work okay but in PvP meaning against players not at all, There might be a chance that elemental defense is calculated differently against spells, Although what % defense does remains a mystery since no one has ever really approved what it does... I'm going to assume that what is said above me is the most logical.

Element defense (the colored numbers on armor) is effected by percent element damage. This total is then subtracted from an attack that you would be taking. If you have over 100% defense in one element, your element defense would then be doubled for that element. The total element defense show on your compass is glitched. If you wear a morph stardust. the element defense for fire reads 500, when it is suppose to be 100.

here I am working on a thread about damage,
