The shovel still do damage to other monsters from what I understood, 1d10 for undeads and 1d4 for the others, but well... My luck with the "to hit" rolls is still active... x)

 

Yeah it still does damage to non-undead, but it's only 1d4.

Wait... To be able to reach the dude with a melee weapon you would need to enter the circle...

Since I rolled an 1 I'm going to say no so I will be able to continue to say that they are crazy.
