[theory] Dern Mobs In Wynn?

Before you read, know that this is a huuuge stretch im making here, and it would be foolish to say this is true. Thats why its a theory!

So we all know of these guys: http://imgur.com/a/cUTAt from dead island, right? They hatched from eggs and turned into giant beats, which were slain by a powerful hero from Ragni, likely Bob. (Last scripts from the Heaven of Aniquity quests said by Siwel). These are the first confirmed mobs from dern, and aren't theory, but what is theory is the fact that they are endermen. The only other mobs that are endermen are Ancients, and they live in a dark world. A believe that its dern, and most people do. Also, the mobs used to be called Dern Immigrants (Pre 1.12)

Now, here is what im going to share that I came up with: If you go to Half Moon Island, there is a boss named "Death Oni". Oni, in japanese folklore, means "demon". Now, this might be a stretch, but I think the only place we'll find a "death demon" is Dern. So I'm going to assume the mobs in the Half Moon tmepl are from dern (which are Oni Zombie, Oni Skeleton, and Oni Shaman).

And then there are Dark Knights. They were found on the expanded ocean and they are wither skeletons. What drags my attention to them is that a knight is someone who is a soldier riding a horse. If youve watched Lord of the Rings, there is a thing called a Nasgul. Its a "dark rider" that came from the abyss as claimed by Gandalf when he says "Go back to the abyss that awaits you and your master!" Now, if these "dark knights" are references to the Nasgul, that would mean they could have likely came from dern, as it is a dark place (Which the abyss is also). Keep in mind Dern is in Old-English, the word Dark.

Also, we have the Rotton Necromancer. It is a mob found under the tower from the "Lost Tower" quest. Since Ancient Nemract was over run by corruption (Which is definitely linked to dern) I think that this mob is from Dern.

We also have the Mr Caratat boss from Memory Paranoia. He is a wither skeleton that practiced dark arts and became evil. I think he became dernal after darkness took him, so that can count as a "dern mob" also.

We also have the relic guardians. Something to keep in mind is that they were around for 1000 years, meaning that they could be ancients.

Now, for the last theory about a mob. There is a rare mob called "Reggie" that spawns around Rymek. One thing we know is that the gate to Dern is near the abandonde mines. And whats the abandoned mines linked to? The Mesa. I think Reggie is from Dern.

I figured the "dark" in their name might connect to Dern. Not enough proof for certain, but I agree

1) Necromancer is undead stuff, corruption.

2) Corruption is NOT linked to Dern. Its made form light and dark mixing, but it is NOT DIRECTLY LIKED to dern...

Memory paranoia 100% has Dern stuff mixed in. The cult and nightmare stuff. 100% Dern. What it exactly means, idk, but you are on the nose there.

I have been looking for a reason to connect the Relics to Dern. I think I made a theory a while ago on it, but I forget. There was some small connection or something.

Reggie is an easter egg reference. One of the content team had a friend named Reggie that was obsessed over the Wither when it was first introduced in 1.4 (Very Scary Update). That's why it's a Wither Skeleton. Has nothing to do with the Mines nor Dern.

Aaaand THATs what gives me the right to nitpick.

Not but really you missed a big part of theory making. Ok, lets say you are right and these are all related to Dern. So what? Is Dern slowly invading? Did Wynn used to be Dern? You always need to tie in the "so what" element.

Also going by old English.
Knight is from "Cniht" or boy/youth/servant. (Cause boys made great servants? I don't know.).

Not really... I'm just saying how the etymology of the word "Knight" means "Servant/youth/boy" while you are saying that the definition of the word "Knight" is of a soldier riding a horse... So I don't really get how you see Servant(one that performs duties about the person or home of a master or personal employer) as the same as "Soldier riding a horse"(I get to this because of you saying how "Repeat" is just to talk again and hi = yo). (Knight being "a soldier riding a horse" came from a latin social class I think). Also I did the old English bit because later in that same paragraph you say that "Dern" = "Dark" in old English. (Which I don't really get considering when I looked it up I get "secret” or other words relating to "secret”.[Edit] Actually I looked into "dern" more and found that it does mean "Dark" so ignore that bit.).

Anyway, as Spyro said. There isn't a lot of evidence and there a lot of assumptions here. I'm glad to see you making a theory about it though, it's always nice to see people interested in the lore :3

We don't know if they hatched from eggs... (We only know of 3/4 eggs currently I think) and the hero only fought one beast. You can see the beast's bones on the island.
Plus the monsters are from the destruction it brought. So the Dern beasts are not the beast.

That is one heck of a stretch considering we know subjectively little about Dern other than its a province that's not a province, has something to do with the "Eye", and a bit more. But nothing that at least I've read that could connect it to demons. If anything, Gavel is more likely considering the giant demon hand.( Correct me if it isn't a giant demon hand).
I wouldn't assume something based on one opinion.

Couldn't you just connect that they have "dark" in their name?
Actually the abyss in this instance is probably referring to underworld... Which could be a dark place.

Explain to me how Dern is connected to the Corruption? I've read that Dern is connected to "Darkness", like how Gavel is connected to "Light" and when the two meet they create corruption.
Also the corruption came from the portal that they dug up...

Theres also dark knights in the Dark Forest area near Gelibord's small Cemetery.

NAZGULS DIDNT COME FROM THE ABYSS THEIR NAME LITERALLY MEANS RINGWRAITH SINCE THEY WERE ONCE MEN CORRUPTED BY RINGS OF POWER SAURON GAVE THEM. YOURE PROBABLY THINKING OF BALROGS WHICH ARE MAIAR CORRUPTED BY MELKOR WHICH ORGINSLLY WERE CREATED BY ERU BUT ONLY WENT INTO THE SHADOW WHEN CORRUPTED.
