Media Discord Or Teamspeak

Wich voice platform would you like the most. I like discord the most because it has a good sound quality and the sexy look of the app. It's also getting some cool features very soon in early 2017. Some of the features will be screen sharing and cam call. I don't really like Teamspeak because the look of it, and it's kinda out dated in my opinion. And it will take a while to learn how to use Teamspeak too. So I would go for discord if I were you. Atleast give it a try ;)

Teamspeak. Encryption, I can host my own server, safer, I keep the right to my voice and messages I sent, my info isnt being sold to third party companies, better permission system, more reliable

Discord sucks. You agreed to their ToS which state that they are allowed to sell your voice and everything you said/sent and give it to anyone they like. Discord will also die. Not a reliable service

Um... no I don't think so lol :D I've never had problems with it and Discord keeps gaining users, it's most certainly not dying soon.
I however agree with TS3 being more secure and more modifiable, but then again I've never ever been concerned about that or needed to do any of those things, Discord fits me just perfectly as is. It's just easy to set up stuff well enough because I don't know why you'd need to use some insanely overdone permission system simply because you can't trust people. Don't invite assholes.

 

Are the users paying anything? No. How are they making money then? They got 20 Million $ from investors and somehow have to pay that back. With stickers? Hell no. The amount of servers they have costs a shit ton of money each day.
The founder of discord just knows how to hype up his projects. His earlier projects also failed. He sold them.

 

Neither, I like Skype.

 

I don't care how they get money lol :DD If you are concerned about ur privacy, stay with ts or whatever. Not everyone shares their bank pins in random chats. I also read their TOS and saw nothing I should be concerned about in my current situation and usage. Everyone for themselves :)

 

And then there's the shy slime who didn't vote cause they don't want their voice revealed to the public... and I only use Skype... with irl friends only... minus a few exceptions...

 

Skype is pretty bad, take a lot of CPU, and the sound quality is bad too.

 

Give them credit though. I'm pretty sure they were first.

 

Yeah, but like everything that is old, it's gets outdated by the new, there is a lot of better options, ts,discord,curse, just give them a chance and you will se why skype sucks now.

 

I gave ts a chance. I liked skype better. I've given discord a chance and I'm pretty even. But anyways I'm surprised that ts is still clinging onto some life after all this time...

 

Personally, I use discord. It makes group calls so much easier. The only problem I have with it is that it's hard to use if you haven't used it before. @DirtyDogeEXE can tell you that we spent forever trying to figure out how to make it work.

 

Oh my god it took so long, luckily this was back when AFK grinding existed.

1. Discord saying it is able to sell your voice

Google and facebook sell your privacy and info to advertisers. Did he research that?

2. How will discord die.... Skype hasn't and discord gives you much more resources

3. Discord doesn't own discord.com because maybe it's a real word???? Did he ever think about that?

4. I'm pretty sure the founder of discord is doing hard work. And has he even talked to a 12 year old. They don't have a mental capacity or thoughts to do what he explained.
