I have seen a dialogue about corkus too, not the exact one that you found.

 

Au, contraire, the Door of Time IS open. However, it appears that the portal is not functioning at this point in time.

Maybe Corkus isn't on the maps not because of it being "mysterious", it's pretty easy to find geographically in the world of Wynn, it's around the same size as the Canyon of the Lost, but maybe it's not on the maps because the mapmakers are just being giant assholes to the Corkians for wanting to be a province.

 

Corkus is unplottable like in Harry potter
