Question About Powder

So there was a thread about what powders to put on the infused hive bow. I thought putting all t6 would be the best but in the thread it said to put t3 t5 t6. Idk what this is can anyone explain this to me?

 

the first t6 would eat most of the neutral dmg

I dont understand that. If you put a powder does the next powder get a smaller effect?

 

yes
if you place 1 t6 on it eats 50% of the neutral dmg
if you place another on it'll eat another 50% but this time the neu is LOWER so it's technically 25% of the original dmg taken away

when u add a powder
it removes some neutral and adds some elemental dmg
the % of neutral it removes depends on the powder type and its tier

 

What if the weapon only has fire dmg and you put 2 t6 fire then does it have no effect because it has no neutral?

 

it will just add the base dmg the powder gives and the powder skill
