Build A Little Cutscene I Made

The title basically sums it up - I had a bit of free time so decided to make a cutscene (mainly to experiment with sound/particle design) and here is my end result:

Anyway, what do you think of it? Feedback is appreciated!

 

needs space between message counter and NPC name
try not to have a different colored NPC name, but actual speech is fine

I wanted to give it a more slow, sinister feeling, but you're right about it taking too long, I will probs just move the characters to the fastwalk cycle after they turn.

If you look at the text, you can see the name of the demon - the original idea for the cutscene was from my revised version of Eye Of The Storm ;)

I thought about this in my idea from the quest - I imagined it would be fun to try and take out any mages holding the portal open, all the while dodging magic from the hand and evading any guards and a possessed archmage. Perhaps I might try creating it later?

How did you make the messages continuous? I couldn't find how to do that...

 

What do you mean by continuous?

I can show you how I do the delays between my speech if you want

 

I really like it! Maybe periods at the end of sentences would help.

 

I mean the dialogue thingy with the delays and such, so I guess yes!

It was a bit odd with the silence during the final speech. Other than that, it was a pretty cool thing to do just for fun!

I use a kinda strange system, but I'll try and explain it anyway.

Here's the actual command blocks:


Each group of three commands horizontally equates to a piece of dialogue.

The blue line is the actual tellraw command that will show the text in chat, the red line simply sets the block above it to air and the green line summons a redstone block falling sand higher up, so it lands in the middle of the next horizontal row, triggering the next dialogue. That command looks like this:

yeah I wasn't too sure what to put there so I just left it but when I add some adjustments to the cutscene I will see if I can figure something out.

I couldn't really understand it. Which is the first, and which is the second and which is the third? Can you make a convo (if you want) and tell me how it's done?
