I just explained the people would limit themselves because the common man is really stupid. If it works well in thoery that's fine, but it doesn't matter if it cannot work in practice.

 

You probably think things like progressive taxation and universal healthcare are socialist/communist. They're not. There is not one (1) country with communism right now.

Look up 'communism' in Wikipedia and tell us about government again.

Economic policies in general break down when you add robots with the ability to overtake the majority of jobs into the picture. In reality the best thing to do would develop better technology until we no longer need to work and then just get rid of money in general.

Yes, but we can only live 90% automated lives if we can properly distribute the automation instead of having factories, robots and especially robot factories be privately owned.

 

Why not just have them be government owned? Unlike right now there likely wouldn't be a power imbalance between the rich and the poor as those concepts wouldn't exist, and thus it would be harder to create an authoritarian government through this. Or just give the ownership jobs to AI systems once we develop them and hope we don't accidentally kill ourselfs

libertarians happen to be on the same side as socialists when it coms to non economical as socialism is an economic view and doesn't limit your other political views.

you are correct libertarians are on the opposite side of the compass than socialists.
they also tend to sway to the right when it comes to foreign policies.

it wasn't communism that limited free speech and the democracy and economy in the communist countries, it was the corrupt leaders.

tbh you did confuse communism and socialism which sparked most of this debate (if you admit that most of this debate would be over)

better get rid of democracy then, everything works in theory. we still havnt had a single government type that was perfect.
socialism came pretty damn close tho, from an economical point of view a lot of cities practicing socialism makes them all progress at a faster speed.

that's one thing I don't get about the US, they think that anyone that has universal healthcare is a commie, well we think anyone that doesn't have it is bloody stupid. we actually use a lot of examples from the US as to why do we have a majority of our laws.
