Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Artemis stares Cecil in the eyes, almost as if she was looking into Cecil's very soul.

 

"This is the second time...where a person stared me to death."

 

"I think only my mother would be capable of that." Artemis says, smiling.

The ground nearby falls inward, and a pool of water forms. Katie sticks her head out from the pool.

"I've put out the fire!" Katie says happily.

"Thanks, Katie." Artemis says sincerely.

"So who's this Cecil?" Katie asks, looking at Cecil from her pool.

 

"Me?"

(OOC: Wouldn't animal summoning be a type of Necromancy? If it is, then I'm going to die)

 

Katie nods, smiling at Cecil.

"She said Xephyr found her next to a dead dragon." Artemis says.

OOC: Depends on what's used to summon it. If you're using the spirits of the dead animal, yes, but if you're creating it, no(?).

 

(OOC: If I can create animals, then I created a sentient dragon and a suicidal spider)
"Then the next thing I know, I'm standing on Rineth."

 

"Strange..." Katie says, intrigued, "So...what caused the forest fire?"

"I've been trying to figure that out, though I have a suspect." Artemis says, looking at the dragon.

 

"Her name's Kailee."

 

Katie dives into her pool, a fish tail splashing out of the water and glimmering in the light for a moment before sinking under. A short moment later, another pool forms next to Kailee, and Katie can be seen poking her.

"So is Kailee a friend of yours?" Artemis asks.

 

"Yes...And why is Katie poking her?"

 

"Curiosity?" Artemis shrugs.

 

"I wonder if Kailee will wake up."

 

Artemis shrugs.

"I guess if you're going to be with us you're going to be doing a lot of fighting." Artemis says offhandedly.

 

"That's obvious."

Perhaps it was that you touched him with a sword...? You're the only thing within a day's march.

"Hussssh, two-legssss... let me end your ssssuffering..." A winged serpent hisses, slowly coiling around Luke.

Kailee slowly opens her eyes, but doesn't have the strength to stand. In turn, she just scoots forward a tiny bit, unknowingly smacking Katie with her wing.

 

Luke cries in pain as the serpent curshes his broken arm.


Katie falls back into her pool, before swimming back up and prodding Kailee with the blunt end of her trident.

 

Cecil watches in confusion.

 

"What happened?" I ask, still on high alert.

 

Katie seems to be rather curious, but cautious at the same time.

"If you think Katie's strange, you've got an entirely new world once you meet Abigail." Artemis says, smiling.

 

"And where's she?"
