Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ren is frozen in panic, not even blinking as he slowly cloaks.

 

I summon my scythe and quickly send a gush of wind in all directions to sense for any people.

 

"A-Agh, my arm!" Luke cries, his arm broken, looking around in the dark.

A tree grows up ahead, in front of Artemis. Artemis pulls some of the bark of the tree of and jumps on it while aiming for Katie's icy trail, creating a makeshift snowboard. A similar one slides up to Cecil.

 

Cecil gets on the wooden snowboard.

"Hope I know how to do this." She follows Katie's trail.

 

Cecil finds herself gaining quite a bit if speed, getting to the edge of the city within a matter of minutes.

"Ramp ahead!" Artemis shouts back after a while, before flying off the ramp at the end of the trail. At Cecil's speed, she'll go flying quite far and fast.

 

"I hate youuuuuuuu." She's about to crash into Rineth.

 

A large pair of flowery, sweet smelling vine hands erupt from the ground to catch Cecil, leaning backwards as they do to create an even softer landing. Artemis can be seen at the base of them, her hands mimicking the vine ones. Cecil is gently placed on the ground in front of Artemis.

"Hate me now?" Artemis asks smugly, her arms crossed.

 

"I hate Katie." Cecil gets up, wiping dirt off her robe.

 

"You shouldn't hate someone you just met. That's rude." Artemis says, laughing to herself.

 

"Well, I almost hit Rineth if it weren't for you. I don't know if he would care, or kill me instantly."

 

"Katie's nice, is a little naive. I'm sure she didn't mean to bring you harm. Anyway, let's go see how she's doing, I hope the forest isn't too badly damaged." Artemis says, following another ice trail.

"What started the fire anyway?" Artemis asks.

 

"I don't know." You see Cecil staring at a dragon with part of her tail cut off.

 

"Was it her?" Artemis asks flatly, drawing her bow.

 

"NO! She's a dragon that I summoned!" Cecil tries to put your bow down.

 

Artemis raises an eyebrow.

"Be careful what you say to someone who can read minds." Artemis says, vines snaking around her arm to secure the bow in her hand.

 

"Let's focus on the task at hand, that fire."

 

"I think that's more Katie's task. As a forest guardian, I'm tasked with protecting forests. A fire would be a danger to a forest, no?" Artemis asks, looking at the dragon Cecil summoned, before back at Cecil. Large pillars of water can be seen around the forest, tentacle-like tendirls crashing onto it to extinguish the flames.

 

"Yes?"

 

"So, I ask you again, was it her?" Artemis asks, looking at the dragon.

 

"No."
