Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Luke tries to push Ruby back with a gust of wind, but lacking his wings, he finds it an impossible task to accomplish. Luke instead rubs his hands together before throwing a bolt of electricity at Ruby.

 

"Of course not. I'm not insane."

 

Artemis sighs in relief.

"I don't like people who kill endangered animals for no good reason." Artemis says calmly.

Up ahead, Cecil can see a frosted over part of the city, a cool breeze blowing down from it.

"Katie's probably over there." Artemis says, pointing to the iced over section.

 

Ruby deflects it easily.
"You brought this upon yourself." Ruby growls, glare piercing Luke's soul.

 

"We should hurry. That fire could kill those endangered animals."

 

"HELP! HELP! GUARDS, HELP! THERE'S A DEMON!" Luke screams.

But nobody comes.

"Right." Artemis says, sprinting up ahead. Small wooden hands appear to come out of the ground and push her foward as she runs, increasing her speed.

 

Ruby simply laughs.
"I was going to kill you, but I know a good place for you..." She grins.

 

Just keep running. That's all I got to say.

 

Luke just shakes, unable to do anything else.

Eventually, Cecil gets to the icy area. A girl with long, deep blue hair and eyes and light skin walks over to her accompanying Artemis. She wears clothing similar to Artemis, however her shirt and shorts are made out of shiny, fish scale-esce scales, which shimmer slightly in the light. A rather sharp looking gold trident is held in her hand, however her kind expression deters any fears she'll be stabbing Cecil or anyone else with it soon.

"Oh, you must be Cecil! Hiya! I'm Katie!" Katie says happily, smiling and offering Cecil a handshake.

"Katie, we need to move. Forest fire, remember?" Artemis says.

"Oh, right. Where's the fire?" Katie asks.

 

Cecil shakes Katie's hand. "Outside the city, you can't miss it."

 

"Let's go." Katie says, skating off toward the edge of the city, leaving a trail of ice in her wake which freezes in her wake. Artemis tries her best to follow.

 

"Do you have good night vision?" Ruby asks, grinning as her claws glow with weaving power.

 

"N-No?" Luke asks nervously.

 

"It better improve soon." Ruby shouts, laughing as Luke falls through a portal into the Void.

 

Luke screams, instictively trying to fly but failing from the lack of wings.

 

He lands hard, the darkness around him shifting.

"What'ssss over here? Another losssst ssssoul?" A snake's voice echoes.

 

Cecil follows Katie.

"This again?!"

 

"I'm not sure, as this does not feel like a coffin to me. You decide if you shall take anything."

 

"But you're king.
Aren't my things.
They are yours,
I was told."

 

"Actually, let me get this ceremony over with." I say, summoning a sword. I tap each of Ren's shoulders and then I tap his head with it. "By the power vested in me, I proclaim you the Head of the Order of Knights."

I de-summon the sword, and then say, "Now you only apply to two out of three categories."
