Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Making you suffer..." Ruby sighs. "Duh. You're gonna lose your wings, dumbass!" She laughs.

 

"I could restore your natural sight, I'm sure it'd be a lot easier than having animals do it for you!" The girl chuckles, gently reaching over and petting the snake.

"W-Wait! No! Please, I need those to fly! I don't want to be like one of those filthy land dwellers! I belong in the sky!" Luke pleads.

 

"You can try. Other healers weren't able to do it."

 

"HeheheheHEHEHEHAHAHAHAAA!" Ruby cackles, Luke's wings withering.

 

You feel your head become squeezed a bit, like something is wrapped around it, before you feel any cuts or injuries on your head become healed. After a short while, you start to feel a pair of eyes begin to form, before your sight is restored.

"D-Did it work?" The girl asks. She sounds exhausted.

"Aah! AAH NO!" Luke cries, deperately trying to catch the feathers as they fall from his wings.

 

Even the feathers wither, Ruby's laughter growing louder and more twisted.

 

"Uhhh...." Cecil takes off her blindfold.
(Her eyes right now)

"Does it look good?"

 

Luke falls to his knees, sobbing.

"WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!? CURSE YOU DEMON!" Luke shouts.

"They look fine!" The girl says, smiling.

With Cecil's sight restored, she can see a tall, young looking girl with shoulder-length mossy green hair, fair skin and emerald green eyes. She wears a strange short sleeved shirt and shorts which appear to be made of interwoven leaves, and she's completely barefoot. A bow and quiver of arrows rests on her back, and what appears to be a pair of green crystals rest in the top and bottom parts of each bow limb.

"Can you see me?" The girl asks, waving.

 

"Yes. It's not black and white for starters."

 

"Demon? No, I'm no demon. I'm practically a demigod- and while you're crying buckets I'd punish you the way you deserve."
Ruby shows herself.
"Pure mage crystal staff for moi, suffering for you."

 

"Ah, excellent. Shall we go find Katie then?" The girl asks.

"Oh, I almost forgot. I'm Artemis, nice to meet you...?" Artemis asks, offering a handshake.

Luke quickly grabs a boomerang and throws it. It spins around and hits Ruby on the back of the head.

 

"Cecil." She shakes your hand.
"Let's go find Katie."

 

Ruby snathes it out of the sky and melts it into a molten blob.

 

Artemis smiles, and starts walking through the city with Cecil.

"So how'd you get here, Cecil?" Artemis asks as she walks.

Luke grabs his other boomerang and tries to whack Ruby with it.

 

"Ihra dropped me off. I'm assuming you know who Ihra is?"

 

Ruby phases to the side, grabs it, then melts and drinks it to taunt Luke.

 

"Of course. She's become a bit of a celebrity around here," Artemis says, chuckling, "But I really meant, how did you get here? Our group?"

 

"Xephyr found me. Apparently, I found two strange swords next to a dead dragon."

 

Luke's eyes widen with fear as he falls backwards, scrambling back up against a wall.

"B-Back, demon!" Luke shouts.

"That's...odd. You didn't kill the dragon, did you?" Artemis asks, concerned.

 

Ruby spits the molten metal out next to Luke.
"Not so funny now, is it, filthy land dweller?"
