Obligatory Introduction

Hey everyone, my name is Vengeance or VampiricOmen, if you see me ingame. I'm new here, both to the forums and to Wynncraft.

I'll admit, I didn't intentionally start playing. I downloaded the mod pack from Curse thinking it was a collection of mods for single player gameplay. I was pleasantly surprised by the server lobby and figured, if I'm on the server now, I might as well have a look around.

I've had heaps of fun so far, the RPG elements are enjoyable and the combat system looks interesting. The only complaint I have at the moment is that I'm experiencing some lag; but as an Australian, that's not unexpected so it's not a huge issue for me. The Wynncraft resource pack looks pretty great too, looking forward to seeing more of it.

I chose a mage for my first character as that's my go-to class in most RPG games. In the brief time I've been playing, I've managed to achieve level 10. I've managed to die once so far, an angry horde horde of what I assume to be Pigmen didn't appreciate my trespassing on their property. They let me know their displeasure by sending me back to spawn with a sword, that was a painful experience. I probably shouldn't have run in to that cave magic-a-firing, but I learned my lesson relatively early all things considered.

Not too sure what to expect ingame other than what I've seen so far. It's been a long while since I last played Minecraft prior to this week, and even longer since playing on a server. It's amazing to see how far things have come, to see an adventure orientated game created in Minecraft is quite epic!

Apologies for the long introduction, I can carry on something fierce when typing posts on forums. Anyway, hope to see some of you around ingame and elsewhere on the forums.

I'm enjoying the forums and game so far too, finally reached Detlas. Needed the help of the online map to get there - my sense of direction is rather lacking. I never thought to see how big the map was, and wow, it's huge! Loving the landscaping and build quality, clearly heaps of time was put into making the environment look as fitting to the created lore as possible.

have u ever tried getting the minimap mod? it might be a bit easier to help you already and you can set waypoints so you know where it is

 

Wait, we can use mods on the server? That'll make it so much easier to find things! I'll figure out how to add them. I've been using JourneyMap on my single player worlds and it definitely helps to have some form of minimap mod. Tried playing Vanilla last night and 30mins in I got lost in some extreme hills biome ages away from my home base. Would've been alright if I noted the coordinates of the base but it slipped my mind before going on the adventure.

Horrible joke aside, thank you! I'll do my best to avoid needing to use the "I'm a newbie!" excuse. It's great to see that there's patient people around to answer our questions, even when the answer seems obvious.

No worries, thanks for letting me know! I found the Wynncraft Worldmap mod as well, so hopefully no getting lost ingame anymore.
