Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Are you upgrading me or replacing me?" Iruk asks, concerned.

 

"Upgrading." A Shadow says.

 

"Yet my consciousness and memories will not go in the new body?"

 

"We're going to try and keep your main body, just upgrade the parts." The Shadow says.

 

"Right. Forgot." Iruk says, processing information.

 

The Shadows and earth guardians continue with their work, working hard on creating parts.

 

Iruk seems to be talking to nobody in the middle of the room, again in Dacori.

 

People give him odd looks, but otherwise continue to work.

 

Iruk turns to Zoe.
"I should warn you; there's a significant payload in my wings that'll go off shortly after they're removed to replace them."

 

"What kind of payload?" Zoe asks.

 

"An explosive one, duh. Something between napalm and soulfire."

 

"Oh, oh my. We might need to put you into the fire guardian's combustion room then." Zoe says.

 

"Yeah, it'll be interesting..." Iruk mutters.

 

"Guess I'm stuck here." Cecil watches the area while Kailee is sleeping.

Of course, I forgot about that. Cecil is going to listen for anything then.

 

No sounds for a while.

Out of boredom you start to drift to sleep, but rustling grass wakes you up with a start.
