Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Nobody is, or was around Lidnis, luckily.

 

Lidnis appears on the ground in a blink, looking a bit more awake.
"How's the wing coming, Iruk?"
"You need to cut it."
"Forgot about that..."

 

Zoe hands Lidnis blueprints on how to cut the cloth, and of course, the cloth. Another few pieces come in from the hot room where the fire guardians work, which appear to be frames for each wing, and earth guardians begin to work on them.

 

Lidnis starts rotating a few gears on her staff, the cloth cutting with a metallic snap each time.

 

Zoe just watches patiently.

As time goes on, the frames of the wings begin to take shape, and more parts arrive from the fire guardians which add to the wings.

A Shadow walks over to Iruk, "Excuse me, Iruk, was it? Could I see one of those blades that power you?" He asks.

 

"So, did you meet with everyone else yet? Or you're going to still climb on Rineth?"

"Summoned her. She's not what I expected to say the least."

 

Lidnis fuses a few sheets of fabric together, creating a thick wing-consistent form.
"There."

Iruk drops one, catching it by the blade and cringing, handing it off to the shadow as he looks at the small dent.
"Damnit..." he grumbles.

"Nope. Just hiding."

 

"I don't think you're hiding well enough."

 

"You can't see me when I bury my face in the ground!" Kailee says, scared, burying her face in dirt.

 

"Is the dirt delicious?"

 

"You can't get your tome back if you can't see it." Kailee says defiantly.

 

"There's a puppy trying to lick you." The puppy for Crystal is licking Kailee's wing.

 

"You're blind and see through my eyes, you... UGHH FINE. I'm sorry. I'll obey. Promise." Kailee sighs, getting up and giving you back your tome.

 

"Thank you. Enjoy the little dog."

The puppy climbs on Kailee and rolls around. "RUFF!"

 

Kailee doesn't seem to understand what it's for.
"Are puppies for eating?" She asks, confused.

 

Zoe takes the wings and kicks off her desk, spinning on her chair as she glides across the room, giggling slightly. Zoe puts the wings with the frames, which appear to be almost finished.

"Thanks. You wouldn't mind if I were take this apart to study it, would you? You're getting a new source of power anyway." The Shadow asks.

 

"Uhhhh....It's morally wrong to eat puppies."

 

Lidnis just waits.

"Not at all."

"Then what's it for?"

 

"For companionship."

 

"But I have you." Kailee says.
