Build These Are Photos Of A Build I'm Working On

These photos are of a town that I wanted to show a friend. The completed build will come very soon though!

What is PM

 

He means that you could have Private-Messaged (Inbox, on info bar) your friend this, but I assume your intention was to show it to everyone.

Anyway I really like it! If I were to suggest anything, I'd say decorate that hallway a bit more and spruce up the walls with andesite, cobblestone, leaves and some blue/green stained clay.

 

I was actually gonna be redoing it to fit more of the style of the dock area. Thx anyways for the suggestion!

why would you have a water wheel in a lake, when theres a river not far.

looks quite good though

 

the roof of the cave is quite flat, trying adding spikes (stalagtites, or mites, can never remember)

other than that, the one hallway is quite repetive. It needs some pattern in the floor. (EX just add some spruce stairs to break it up)

However, I do feel like that some of your oak log/spruce structures have very little color variation. Maybe try to incorporate cobblestone/other fence types into the structures?
mfw i used to be a good builder then i stopped playing minecraft and now i draw arts and stuff

 

Actually the build is supposed to have very little color. This town is very poor which is why everything is so broken. There's a lot more story behind why it's a poor town and why I made it the way I did, but to explain the entire story would take a lot of typing and time. In the finished product though I'll most likely have a full story behind the town. Thx for the feedback anyways!

 

I like the 1st and 8th one. The blue spiral is 11/10 IGN. Other than that, good build!

 

Sorry about that! I realized that there were blue spirals from the night vision potion after I'd posted the thread, but I'll definitely not be using night vision when I post the finished product.

 

The particles from the night vision are not too bad, I just want to see how the lighting looks

You could try using different colors of wood, like you did with the house on the far right.
Cobblestone isn't that "rich" of a material, maybe make it a base for the houses? You could even just put some cobble piles scattered everywhere if they were a mining town trying to get more money.
