Selling Cataclysm

I know it has been nerfed after it came out, and the -hp is exactly my point why it doesn't need a nerf :3

 

True, like if it is a pure glass cannon wep that can give like -6000 health it is not op

The only reason why I prefer Nirvana over Cata is because while I like the concept of being a "one punch man", I hate the concept of being one punched myself.

As a long time cataclysm user I have to say, I do not think its that good. But cataclysm itself is not really bad. Okay the -hp kills it but I think the problem with cataclysm Is the class it is made for. Now I am not saying assassin is bad, but just underwhelming compared to other classes. For example fatal does almost the same damage as cataclysm, but without -hp. This is not the weapon but rather the class spells. Meteor does 400% dmg while spin does 200%. So to all saying cata is bad, perhaps it is, but I still believe the assassin class itself is part of the problem. Keep in mind that if the same weapon was given to mage, it would be broken as hell.

 

How does Thrundacrack mix with the two? I believe it does about 30k uppercuts at best, just like Fatal's meteor and Cataclysm's spin.
I'd assume Cataclysm has the negative HP because spin is way more spammable than uppercut and meteor.

But I personally think something like 2-5k negative hp would be fine on Cataclysm, what it has now is a bit too bad.

 

So, in my opinion, if Catac didn't have the negative health bonus, it would be overpowered. Assassin already has high defence, so the negative health bonus balances it out. For Fatal to do 35 - 40k meteors, you will be extremely glass cannon and have 5k health - especially since Mage doesn't have good defence compared to Assassin.

 

This is my favorite mythic, I would offer 15 if I had 15

 

I am not saying cataclysm is bad, i am just saying that cataclysm is in my opinion not worth 15-20 stacks. The high price for this weapon was caused by 1 person paying 30 stacks le for a cataclysm when it was released. I wonder who that was...

No, I'm saying it because it's legit like Fatal. It was only 30 stacks because the demand was SO high; people saw the damage it does and were like "omg I need to pay so much to get that". Fatal costs 13 - 15 stacks, and Fatal is equally good. So therefore, they should have a similar price

 

cata does around 100k on smoke bomb
fatal around 40k on meteor
thats not "a little more damage"

 

I could pay 20 stacks for Catac if I wanted to, but I wouldn't because I know the price has gone down...

 

Smoke bomb has always been a wonky spell doe. First you have to keep in mind that all ticks have to hit to do that amount of damage. Second of all its over a period of time, in that period you can cast about 2-3 Meteors. The mob also has to stay in the smoke bomb range for the full amount of ticks. Also, when throwing smoke bomb you automatically lose a few ticks because the smoke bomb is in the air (this does not happen when aiming at your feet, but why would you smoke bomb your feet? you wont hit any mobs doing that.)
