How Is % Spell Damage And Melee Damage Applied?

    I tried figuring out how this works but I can't help pls :(

    like.. you have a 100 damage wand with normal attack speed, and you wear a chestplate that has 105% spell damage. 100x2 = 200 +450% cuz thats the dmg of meteor at max, thats 1100 and then +105% spell damage?

    If i am correct the damage gets calculated in the following order:

    Raw damage -> Attack speed multiplier -> Spell multiplier -> Elemental % damage buffs + Spell/Melee % damage buffs -> Raw Spell/Melee damage buffs

    Xdmg% = the dmg you deal with your weapon divided by 100 x amount of % you have for that X.

    spell damage (with dexterity) =
    (((weapons damage + spell damage% + elemental dmg%) x strength bonus) + (weapons damage + spell damage% + elemental dmg%) x attack speed multiplier) + (raw spell dmg x amount of times the spell hits)

    spell damage (without dexterity) =
    (((weapons damage + spell damage% + elemental dmg%) x strength bonus) x attack speed multiplier) + (raw spell dmg x amount of times the spell hits)

    melee damage per hit (with dexterity) =
    ((weapons damage + melee dmg% + elemental dmg%) x strength bonus) + (weapons damage + melee dmg% + elemental dmg%) + raw melee dmg

    melee damage per hit (without dexterity) =
    ((weapons damage + melee dmg% + elemental dmg%) x strength bonus) + raw melee dmg

    melee damage per second = melee dmg per hit x attack speed multiplier.

    Thorns/ reflection damages = whatever the amount of damage was you took divided by 100 times 60
    exploding damage = whatever amount of damage the last damage amount was you hit the mob with.
    poison damage per poison hit = poison damage divided by 3, rounded downwards.
    (example: you have 9001 poison, 9002:3 = 3000.6666666666665
    But that'll be rounded downwards, so you'll get 3000 poison damage per poison hit.)

    Don´t forget that you can add poison damage add the end of all formulas except DPS. Just make sure that they´re not being hit again whilst taking poison damage.

    I came to these conclusions by testing it myself and talking to people.

    Back at the raw spell damage Nerf, Great Lord Salted actually put up the equation for damage on a thread. I suck at search parameters, so I can't find it anymore, but I would suggest you search that thread up, as it would have the official from-the-horns-of-Salted-who-grazes-in-Paradise numbers.
