Reward Players For Exploring?

You know,sometimes when I get bored of continuously farming and having no quest to go through,i like to go out and explore areas that people normally wouldn't have even noticed. Don't get me wrong,this can be really fun. But I think some of these 'secrets' can actually award players with something better than a tier II loot chest? I mean,there are some hidden puzzles that got me thinking for a while,and seeing a tier II chest when the secret door opens kinda saddens me. Nothing to see here really,just me being an absolute bitch and complaining for garbages.

 

Honestly no offense but there's not enough obscure areas to explore like things completely out of the way.

I'm always ducking into whatever random hole I stumble across. Irritates the heck out of my son when we're playing together.

I'm finding that my game play is more cat like than I realized... I love heights and I get side tracked by curiosity constantly. My ADHD manifests in game more strongly than out.

However, it has allowed me to find some nice toys, a couple relic shrines and a few nice grinding spots that don't seem to be over used.

There are lots of random bits of detail out there that may or may not have a use for the game's storyline but gives the world a deeper and more lived in feel either way.

Yup but people that like explore (like me) are looking for something that no one has found before!

 

there are the really hidden powder 7-1337 relics that give you superpowders. The admins really didn't want us to find them.

 

There are many secret areas in the game that feature loot chests and even relics (especially the item relic locations). I've found that the more "hidden" the location is, the higher the tier of the chest will be. Your Tier I chests will be on the road, your Tier II chests will be fairly hidden, but the Tier III and IV chests are in locations that usually involve solving a puzzle, jumping through a parkour, or getting to the end of a cave or structure.

Trust me, the farther you get into the game, the more secrets you will find. You might even be able to find easter eggs, and eventually you'll find the item relic locations, which are guaranteed to give you a unique relic item found nowhere else.

In regards to there being videos of the relics/chests/Easter eggs, they are but anything else a spoiler. If you watch the video, you will "spoil" the sense of achievement of finding the area yourself. That being said, it's the player's choice on whether they want to spoil their "exploring" experience or not.

And even with the videos, there are so many hidden and secret areas in the world that a video won't get them all. You can find End portals, a dragon egg shrine, a cultist hangout tower, the ruins of the old donator town, and even corrupted versions of Salted, Jumla, and Grian. And, that's only a few areas out of probably hundreds more, with most of them containing some sort of loot chest as a reward for finding it.

The game has plenty of things to find, and I'm pretty sure the Content Team intended it to be that way.
